UFC 263 will return to action this weekend in Glendale, Arizona from the Gila River Arena. The five-bout main card get started at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 12 and will be highlighted by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori.
This is a rematch of a bout from March of 2018 where Adesanya won by split decision. It was the second bout in the UFC for Adesanya, who is 20-0 career fighting at the middleweight limit of 185 lbs. or less. He’s also 9-0 at middleweight and has defended the title three times.
Adesanya’s only career blemish is his unanimous decision loss to light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz on March 6th of this year. Adesanya was going for history and becoming the double-weightclass champion, but came up a bit short on the scale and in the cage. He worked hard to tipped the scales at just 200.5 lbs., while Blachowicz had to cut just to get to the 205 lbs. limit, and was the much bigger man in the octagon.
Vettori is ranked No. 3 at middleweight, and has won five straight bouts to put himself in this position. He defeated Kevin Holland by unanimous decision on April 10th to put himself in position for this title fight.
Here are the latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook:
Israel Adesanya: -250
Marvin Vettori: +200
