What time does UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Gastelum main card start?

We break down when the main card of UFC’s April 17th Fight Night event gets underway. It is headlined by Robert Whittaker vs. Kelvin Gastelum in a middleweight contenders bout.

UFC Fight Night returns with prime time card on Saturday, April 17. UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Gastelum gets underway at 7 p.m. ET with a six-fight preliminary card that will air on ESPN and stream on ESPN+. The main card gets started at 10 p.m.

The card is topped by a pair of contender bouts. 10th ranked lightweight Jeremy Stephens faces Drakkar Klose in the penultimate fight, and then top-ranked middleweight Robert Whittaker faces eighth-ranked middleweight Kelvin Gastelum in the main event. The ring walks for Whittaker-Gastelum is expected around 12:15 a.m., but that will depend on the length of the earlier fights on the card.

Whittaker is favored in this fight, installed by DraftKings Sportsbook at -286 to win. Gastelum is a +225 underdog. The biggest favorites of the night are Tracy Cortez, Tony Gravely, and Abdul Razak Alhassan, all of whom are installed as -335 favorites. The closest odds of the night are for Fabinski-Meerschaert. Bartosz Fabinski is a -124 favorite, while Meerschaert is even money as the underdog.
