Update 11:50 p.m.: The card has run long, and we’re likely looking at Usman and Burns not getting into the cage much before 12:20 a.m. at best, and it might even be after that. It’s going to be a late night in Las Vegas.
UFC is back for its second PPV of 2021 with UFC 258 getting underway Saturday evening from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The early preliminary card gets underway at 6:15 p.m. ET and will air on UFC Fight Pass, followed by the preliminary card at 8 p.m. on ESPN & ESPN+.
The main card for the event is scheduled to get started at 10 p.m. and will be available for purchase through ESPN+ PPV, headlined by Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns in a UFC welterweight championship match.
If you’re planning your evening strictly around The Nigerian Nightmare vs. Durinho, the fight is estimated to get going at approximately midnight ET. The main card starts at 10 p.m., so it depends in part on how long the first four fights go, and then how long ring entrances and all the pomp and circumstance is for the main event. But just after midnight on the east coast is probably a safe bet.
The main card has five total fights, including No. 10 Maycee Barber vs. No. 15 Alexa Grasso in a women’s flyweight battle, No. 9 Kelvin Gastelum against No. 15 Ian Heinisch at middleweight, No. 8 Pedro Munhoz vs. No. 9 Jimmie Rivera at bantamweight, and Maki Pitolo takes on Julian Marquez also at middleweight.
