The UFC returns to their Apex facility in Las Vegas for its second PPV of 2021. On Saturday night, UFC 258: Usman vs. Burns will be televised on ESPN+ PPV.
The early preliminary card starts at 6:15 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. The four-fight preliminary card starts at 8 p.m., and will be carried by both ESPN and ESPN+. The five-fight main card gets going at approximately 10 p.m. ET, and will cost $69.99 through ESPN+ PPV.
Kamaru Usman will take on Gilbert Burns for the welterweight title in the main event for UFC 258. “Nigerian Nightmare” Usman enters this title bout with a professional fighting record of 17-1. He’s the champion of the welterweight division and ranked fifth in the men’s pound-for-pound rankings.
Usman’s only loss happened several years ago at CFA 11 against Jose Caceras in the first round by submission. Burns walks into Saturday night’s match with a professional fighting record of 19-3. The 32-year-old mixed martial artist is also ranked first in the welterweight division.
In the co-main event, Maycee Barber returns to the octagon to fight Alexa Grasso. “The Future” Barber has a professional fighting record of 8-1 and ranked 10th in the women’s flyweight rankings. The 22-year old’s only loss came last year at UFC 246 against Roxanne Moda. Meanwhile, Grasso enters the APEX with a professional fighting record of 12-3 and is ranked 15th in the women’s welterweight division.
