UFC Vegas 10 is live from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas. The headliner is a bout between two ranked women’s strawweights in #8 Michelle Waterson and #13 Angela Hill.

Several fights on this card have been scratched or re-worked:

  • Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Alexandr Romanov is now Romanov vs. Roque Martinez.
  • Matt Schnell vs. Tyson Nam has been scratched

The co-main event between Ottman Azaitar and Khama Worthy was actually scheduled two weeks ago. and is rebooked here due to a positive Covid-19 test. There now is no preliminary card, and all fights will begin at 5:00 p.m.

We’ll be tracking all the results tonight. Below you’ll find the winner, how they secured a victory, and adding gifs and video of exciting moments or stoppages where we can. Follow along throughout the evening.

#8 Michelle Waterson vs. #13 Angela Hill: Women’s Strawweight

Winner: Michelle Waterson
Winning Method: Michelle Waterson wins by split decision (48-47, 49-46, 47-48)

There’s certainly controversy here, and though this ended up winning the Fight of The Night bonus for both competitors, a lot of people think Angela Hill got very unlucky with the judges yet again and should have won the fight. The significant strikes were 131/128 in Hill’s favor, and Waterson was credited with the only takedown, but the power Hill had might not have been given due credit.

Hill falls to 6-7 in the UFC, but with some different judging she might be well over .500 career. A tough break here.

Ottman Azaitar vs. Khama Worthy: Lightweight

Winner: Ottman Azaitar
Winning Method: Ottman Azaitar wins by TKO (punches) at 1:33 of Round 1.

Never a doubt. What a finish by Azaitar, who is now 13-0 in MMA and likely ranked on Monday in a loaded division.

#8 Roxanne Modafferi vs. #9 Andrea Lee: Women’s Flyweight

Winner: Roxanne Modafferi
Winning Method: Roxanne Modafferi wins via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

The +255 underdog steals the third round with a pair of takedowns and goes home the winner. Though behind on significant strikes 97/60, her control advantage of 4:49-1:37 made the difference.

Ed Herman vs. Mike Rodriguez: Light Heavyweight

Winner: Ed Herman
Winning Method: Ed Herman wins by submission (kimura) at 2:41 of Round 3.

Oh boy, this is not good. Referee Chris Tognoni stopped the fight in the second round for an illegal knee that just happened to not be illegal at all while Rodriguez was hammering his opponent and ahead 20-18 on all scorecards. But it allowed Herman to recover, and win the fight in the following round with the submission.

Awful officiating that made the difference in the fight. Tognoni is a good ref, but he flat blew it here.

Bobby Green vs. Alan Patrick: Lightweight

Winner: Bobby Green
Winning Method: Bobby Green wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Not much doubt in this one. Green wins on significant strikes 61/19, has all four takedowns in the fight, and 7:26 to 1:43 in fight control.

Billy Quarantillo vs. Kyle Nelson: Featherweight

Winner: Billy Quarantillo
Winning Method: Billy Quarantillo wins by TKO at :07 of the third round.

Stand up, Tampa! Your hometown hero is now 3-0 in the UFC. Nelson did a lot of talking before the fight. That... didn’t go well.

#14 Julia Avila vs. #15 Sijara Eubanks: Women’s Bantamweight

Winner: Sijara Eubanks
Winning Method: Sijara Eubanks wins by unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27).

Eubanks led on significant strikes 53-34, and had three of the fight’s four takedowns. The +239 underdog finds a way to get it done, and will get closer to single digits in the division rankings.

Roosevelt Roberts vs. Kevin Croom: Lightweight

Winner: Kevin Croom
Winning Method: Kevin Croom wins by submission (guillotine choke) at :31 of the first round.

A stunner! The +286 underdog lands a big left, and chokes out the favorite in half-a-minute!

Alexandr Romanov vs. Roque Martinez: Heavyweight

Winner: Alexandr Romanov
Winning Method: Alexandr Romanov wins by submission (arm triangle) at 4:22 of the second round.

Romanov is going to be a problem at 265 lbs.

Brok Weaver vs. Jalin Turner: Catchweight (165 lbs.)

Winner: Jalin Turner
Winning Method: Jalin Turner w ins by submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:20 of the second round.

Turner actually had Weaver down and about finished, but he let him get back up and then choked him out. A dominant performance.

Bryan Barberena vs. Anthony Ivy: Welterweight

Winner: Bryan Barberena
Winning Method: Bryan Barberena wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Barberena dominated statistically in the standup, landing 63 significant strikes to 36 for Ivy, but all five takedowns in the fight went to the loser, and so did the ground control 5:49 to 1:54. With the win Barberena is now 15-7 in MMA and 6-5 in the UFC.

Sabina Mazo vs. Justine Kish: Women’s Flyweight

Winner: Sabina Mazo
Winning Method: Sabina Mazo wins by submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:57 of the third round.

Terrific work by Mazo late in the fight to get the finish.
