UFC newcomer Bill Algeo steps in as a last-minute replacement and faces Ricardo Lamas live from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas this Saturday as part of UFC Fight Night on ESPN+.

Lamas owns a 19-8 record, 10-6 in the UFC, but he’s dropped three of his last four bouts. The 38-year-old from Chicago lands just 2.88 significant strikes per minute in the octagon, as well as 1.63 takedowns per 15 minutes. With 11 career stoppages “The Bully” will be a strong favorite against a late-arriving opponent.

Algeo fights out of State College, PA, making his UFC debut at 31-years-old. “Senor Perfecto” is 13-4 as a cagefighter and winner of five of his last six. His last loss was a unanimous decision to Brendan Loughnane at Dana White’s Contender Series in June of 2019. With nine career finishes, including six submissions, he’ll be on quite the turnaround: He last competed just 16 days before this fight, going the distance with Tim Dooling in a unanimous decision win at Cage Fury Fighting Championships in Philadelphia.

Ricardo Lamas: $9,200
Bill Algeo: $7,000

Lamas should be a huge favorite here, and because this number was set even before Algeo became his opponent, it’s a very good one to have. We’ll take Lamas on some rosters here, but his lack of overall scoring even in victories make him someone that’s not necessarily a lock to have on every roster.
