The co-main event of UFC on ESPN this Saturday is gatekeeper vs. prospect at 205 lbs. as Ovince Saint Preux faces Alonzo Menifield live on ESPN+ from Las Vegas and the Apex facility.

Saint Preux is an exciting fighter that has earned a Performance of The Night bonus in his last three UFC victories. The light heavyweight is 24-14 11 with 11 KO’s and eight submissions in his career in his career, and a 12-9 mark in the UFC. Though he lands just 2.60 significant strikes per minute and 1.27 takedowns per fight, his stoppage rate is very high. His last outing was a split decision loss to Ben Rothwell in Jacksonville on May 13th.

Menifield at 9-1 and 2-1 in the UFC after losing his last bout against Devin Clark via unanimous on June 6th for the first defeat of his career. It was the first fight of his career to reach a third round, and he showed some conditioning issues during the contest. All nine of the wins for the 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas are via stoppage, eight of them by knockout.

After dominating his first two UFC opponents with first-round KO’s, Clark landed more significant strikes 79-39, and had a takedown that put Menifield on the canvas for the first time in the promotion.

Menifield did lose his last fight, but came thisclose to ending Devin Clark in the first round. It will likely put him in better condition for his bout this evening, knowing that it might be a longer fight. He’s favored on the money line, and has averaged over 105 DFS points in each of his wins. We like Menifield here to have some value, especially on a card with so many unknown and untested fighters.
