A veteran women’s bantamweight serves as gatekeeper as Bethe Correia takes on Pannie Kianzad live from UFC on ESPN 14 this Saturday on Fight Island tonight in Abu Dhabi’s Flash Forum.

Correia has been annoying people like in the title picture here for seven years in the UFC, but still hasn’t achieved much success. She enters this fight ranked #13 in the weight class, but has lost every big fight including to Ronda Rousey (first round KO) and Holly Holm (third round KO). Her 11-4-1 record only has two stoppage wins, though she lands 4.47 strikes per minute.

Kianzad is 12-5, but also doesn’t have much stopping power with just three career KO’s. She’s split her first two fights on the main roster in the UFC, both via unanimous decision. Her win over Jessica-Rose Clark in November was the first for the Iranian that fights out of Sweden. She lands 4.03 strikes per minute and has completed only one takedown in 30 minutes of octagon time so far.

This is a terrible fight for fantasy purposes. Kianzad did get 79 points in a decision win her last time out, but she’s in against a better opponent tonight. And that opponent hasn’t gotten a stoppage in six years. Correia averages just 49.4 DFS points in her UFC career, and there’s just much stronger options on this card. This is a punt.
