UFC is back in Las Vegas this Saturday hosting its first Apex facility PPV since the restart amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. UFC 250 is scheduled for June 6th, with the preliminary card starting just after 6 p.m. on ESPN. The main card will air on ESPN+ as a PPV.
The main card is headlined by Amanda Nunes’ featherweight title defense against Felicia Spencer. However, the most competitive fight on the card might be the bantamweight contenders bout between second-ranked Aljamain Sterling and fourth-ranked Cory Sandhagen.
Sterling is 18-3 and enters as a slight favorite on a four fight winning streak. Saturday will be almost exactly a year since his last fight, a unanimous decision over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 238 on June 8th. He’s currently landing 4.18 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 1.45.
Sandhagen is 12-1 and has won seven straight bouts coming into UFC 250. His last fight was a unanimous decision over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 241 last August. He is landing 8.89 significant strikes per minute and absorbing 2.73.
