Frank Camacho misses weight against replacement fight for UFC on ESPN 11

Frank Camacho is a heavy favorite, but he likely won’t be able to claim his full winnings if he does the deed.

UFC on ESPN 11 is a little over 24 hours away, and Frank Camacho has missed his weight for the lightweight bout. He weighed in at 158 pounds, coming in two pounds heavier than the maximum. He is in line to forfeit 20 percent of his purse due to the missed weight.

Missing weight is always a problem, but it’s notable due to the nature of Camacho’s fight. He was slated to fight Matt Frevola, but Frevola dropped out when one of his cornermen tested positive for Covid-19. Justin Jaynes was named the replacement fighter and Camacho is a heavy favorite. The line would have been close with Frevola, but at -360, Camacho is now the second biggest favorite on the evening.

Camacho can still earn a good chunk of his pay, but it’s insane to think he would miss weight for a fight many view as a near walk in the park.
