UFC returns to action in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 30th with UFC on ESPN 9. The 11-fight card gets underway at 6 p.m. ET, and is headlined by Tyrone Woodley vs. Gilbert Burns in a welterweight contenders fight.
The preliminary card includes Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill putting his undefeated record on the line against Klidson “White Bear” Abreu in a light heavyweight bout. Hill is 7-0 and coming off a decision win over Darko Stosic at UFC Fight Night 166 on January 25th. It marked his second UFC-connected fight, having won on Dana White’s Contender Series in July of 2019 via TKO over Alexander Poppeck. Prior to that he fought in KnockOut Promotions and Lights Out Championship, with two TKO and three decision victories.
Abreu is 15-4 and coming off his second loss in three fights. He dropped a split decision to Shamil Gamzatov at UFC Fight Night 163 last November, and lost a unanimous decision to Magomed Ankalaev on UFC Fight Night 145 in February 2019. In between he won a unanimous decision over Sam Alvey at UFC on ESPN 4. He’s won four fights by KO or TKO, ten by submission, and one by decision. He has two losses by KO/TKO and two by decision.
