MMA is back in action in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 30th with UFC on ESPN 9. The 11-fight card gets underway at 6 p.m. ET, and is headlined by Tyrone Woodley vs. Gilbert Burns in a matchup of welterweight contenders.
The main card includes a lightweight bout between Roosevelt Roberts and Brok Weaver. Roberts, nicknamed The Predator, is 9-1 and coming off a unanimous decision victory over Alexander Yakovlev at UFC Fight Night 163 on November 9, 2019. The fight prior he suffered the lone defeat on his record, losing a unanimous decision to Vinc Pichel at UFC on ESPN 3 on June 29, 2019. Roberts has three KO/TKO wins, four submission wins, and two decision wins.
Weaver, nicknamed Chata Tuska, is 15-4 and coming off a disqualification victory over Rodrigo Vargas due to an illegal knee. He’s won eight straight fights since losing via TKO to Martin Brown in 2016, including five by way of decision. In his pro career, Weaver has won two fights via KO/TKO, three via submission, two via DQ, and eight via decision. His four losses include two decisions, one submission, and one TKO.
