The Trending NBA Betting Systems article from earlier in the week has been updated with a play, but we’re going to add a couple more here.
Alperen Sengun over 23.5 points -110
Outside of one cold stretch from early to mid-December, Houston’s young big man has been great against his points prop this season at 22-9 to the over. With the Rockets hosting Brooklyn after the Nets played in New Orleans on Tuesday, Sengun is once again in a spot to go over his points prop.
One thing that’s particularly interesting about Sengun’s points prop on Wednesday is it’s a dip from his previous game’s mark. That’s not something that’s happened often with him this season when the over hit in the previous game, and it might feel like an indication that the under is due to hit since Sengun is riding a six-game over streak against his points prop. However, there’s a reason the over still remains the play: The over has hit in each of the three instances which Sengun has had his points prop decrease after he hit the over in his previous game this season.
Total over 231 points -108
This game total has had some very interesting movement, as much as the current number (as of writing) is only half a point lower than the opening mark. The current number is the lowest this total has been, but it did climb up to 233.5 at one point. Since reaching that peak, it’s mostly been a steady decrease (although, at one point, the total went from 232 to 232.5, but it then went back to declining). Might be worth monitoring to see if you can get an even lower number, but I’m happy with this already decreased mark.
These two teams have both been around .500 in terms of the total this season. However, there’s a great system that applies to this one. The Kings just played Charlotte on Tuesday, and they’re now favored vs. Orlando. Home favorites playing on the second leg of a back-to-back are 27-15 to the over this season. Furthermore, Orlando played on Tuesday, as well. Underdogs playing on the second leg of a back-to-back are 50-40-4 to the over this season.
Let’s take it a step further since both teams are on the second leg of a back-to-back. When both teams are playing on the second leg of a back-to-back this season, the over is 6-2. Last season, the over went 21-14 in this setting.
