ZED RUN Takes the Next Step — Dec. 30 at 6:54 p.m.

The future of digital horse racing has arrived. ZED RUN has dominated this industry in the Metaverse for quite some time with its virtual horse racing game, and now the project has announced plans for expansion.

In a detailed community update, ZED RUN laid out an intriguing road map for 2022, starting with a revamped class system. The game will also launch a native token ecosystem in Q1, partnering with Republic Crypto to establish a “new foundation for racing, breeding, lending and guilds and as such will underpin all ongoing development.” These ZED RUN tokens will be divided into three main categories — in-game activities, growth incentives, and existing users. New updates will also allow users to retire horses in exchange for tokens and rent out existing horses.

Patriots Produce Exclusive NFT — Dec. 29 at 3:03 p.m.

The New England Patriots are offering a free NFT to fans attending their upcoming matchup vs. Jacksonville, as long as they purchase tickets within the NFL Ticketing Network. After the game concludes, those who attended will be able to redeem their virtual ticket via email. If you’re in New England, you still have the opportunity to claim a free Patriots NFT:

Connecting the Digital and Physical Worlds — Dec. 29 at 2:56 p.m.

A project called Fyat Lux sold out its collection of 8,080 “Sparks” earlier today. These 3D avatar NFTs, created by artist Anthony Jones, were available for 0.125 ETH each. Fyat Lux’s goal is to integrate AR (augmented reality) and NFTs in order to bring the Metaverse to life. Each collectible has a “phygital” smart card that allows its holder to view the avatar in AR.

Ethereum Co-founder Joins the Mega Mutant Family — Dec. 28 at 10:31 p.m.

Bored Ape Yacht Club continues to dominate NFT headlines, with Ethereum Co-founder Taylor Gerring getting in on the action Tuesday night. Gerring purchased his Mega Mutant Serum for 888.88 ETH (approximately $3.5 million). This is part of the mutant campaign by BAYC, in which holders can expose their ape to M1, M2, or Mega Mutant Serum. Gerring mutated his ape on Twitch Tuesday night via livestream, see the finished product below:

UPDATE: Someone must have been inspired by Gerring’s mutation, as one of the three remaining Mega Mutant Serums just sold for 999 WETH (approximately $3.78 million).

Popular Mints Prove Market is Alive and Well — Dec. 28 at 3:21 p.m.

No need to worry, NFT enthusiasts, the market is alive and well. Look no further than projects like Prime Ape Planet for proof. Its 7,979 collection sold out quickly in a presale period in which apes were available for 0.25 ETH each. The project, which boasts artwork created by designers for The Lion King, Godzilla, Marvel, Disney, MGM and more, was so popular that not everyone who qualified for the presale was able to mint.

Another notable project that sold out today was Critterz, a P2E game on Minecraft and 4,096 collection on Ethereum. Holders of these collectibles, which were free to mint, can stake to generate $BLOCKS while owning land in the Metaverse.

Other popular mints today include Wulfz, Monsters and Hunters, and Hillbilly Holler. Projects like these selling out prove that the market isn’t going anywhere.

OpenDAO’s SOS Token Airdrop — Dec. 27 at 1:34 p.m.

On Christmas Eve, OpenDAO rewarded OpenSea users with a free token called SOS. Anyone who has ever spent money on OpenSea is eligible to claim this free item by June 30, 2022, after which all remaining tokens will be sent to the DAO treasury. OpenDAO has also earmarked tokens for itself, pledging to use them to compensate OpenSea users for scams.

The amount of $SOS received is determined by how much money the user has spent on NFTs on OpenSea. After claiming the $SOS, it can be exchanged for ETH or USDT, which allows people to buy more NFTs or cash out. $SOS has provided a large amount of liquidity to OpenSea users, and we’ve seen a substantial pump in NFTs as a result. This move has left all of us wondering...

wen OS or MM airdrop?
