To help everyone prepare for the kickoff to the NFL Season, DraftKings is providing a Madden 21 tournament that will crown a champion of simland on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The format is very similar to the World Cup with the teams starting with Group Play before a knockout round of head-to-head action. The groups for this event were selected based on divisions. The top two teams from each group will advance and NFL tiebreaker rules will be used in the event of a tie.

The top two teams from each group will be seeded 1-through-8 in the AFC and 1-through-8 in the NFC and placed into an elimination bracket which will begin on Sept. 5. The division winners will get home field advantage (seeds 1-4) and the second place finishers in each division will fill out the remainder of the seeds.

Round 1 will consist of four games per day on Sept. 5 and Sept. 6 followed by Round 2 with four games on Sept. 7. Re-seeding will take place between each round with the highest remaining seed playing the lowest. The two semifinals will be contested on Sept. 8 before the championship on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

You can keep up with all the results right here in this post and follow the schedule on the Madden Streams Information Page.

Check out the daily Madden Stream contests with paid contests for real cash prizes now available alongside free contests in both single-game Showdown and three-game Classic formats.

Streams of simulated games are available on DraftKings inside the Game Center under the submitted lineup. Additional streams can be found inside the DK Live app, in Playbook articles, at DK Nation Video, on YouTube and on Twitch.
