Round 4 Recap — Sunday

Patrick Cantlay outduels Jon Rahm to win TOUR Championship

Cantlay ($13,400; 112 DKFP) went one-on-one with Bryson DeChambeau ($12,300; 83.5 DKFP) last week at the BMW Championship, and the newly christened “Patty Ice” sunk multiple clutch putts to claim his third PGA TOUR win this season. He carried that momentum and the FedEx Cup lead into this week at East Lake Golf Club, as he chased the $15 million top prize in the TOUR Championship. Rahm ($13,000; 97 DKFP) began the week four strokes behind Cantlay and closed to within one shot but could never get the last push needed to take the lead. Cantlay had four birdies and three bogeys on Sunday and finished at -21 while Rahm finished -20 after two birdies and no bogeys on Sunday. — Zach Thompson

Xander Shauffele and Daniel Berger go low on Sunday at the TOUR Championship

Although they started the day too far back to challenge the lead, both Schauffele ($8,900; 103 DKFP) and Berger ($5,800; 81.5 DKFP) finished the week strong with six-under rounds at East Lake Golf Club. Berger moved up into a tie for 11th with seven birdies including four straight on his final four holes. Schauffele also finished with four straight birdies and also added an eagle, moving into a tie for fifth. Viktor Hovland ($8,000; 92 DKFP) tied with Schauffele after firing a five-under on Sunday. Kevin Na ($6,000; 107.5 DKPF) also finished strong with 57 consecutive bogey-free holes to finish solo third as a great bargain play. — Zach Thompson

Round 3 Recap — Saturday

Patrick Cantlay stays in front at TOUR Championship

Cantlay ($13,400; 91 DKFP) did enough to stay in front on Saturday at the TOUR Championship, firing a three-under 67 to take a two-shot lead into Sunday’s final round. Last week’s winner at the BMW Championship, Cantlay began the week at -10 and has steadily scored to get to -20. He entered the day just a shot clear of Jon Rahm ($13,000; 86 DKFP), but six birdies and just two bogeys gave him some extra cushion. Rahm had a solid round himself, shooting a 68 to get to -18 with three birdies and a bogey. Justin Thomas ($11,000; 87 DKFP) sits in third at -15, five back of Cantlay after a five-under 65. With Kevin Na ($6,000; 81 DKFP) in fourth at -13, the three names mentioned earlier should be the main contenders for the top prize. — Kenny Ducey

Justin Thomas, Abraham Ancer vault up leaderboard Saturday at TOUR Championship

After carding back-to-back three-under 67s to open the TOUR Championship, Thomas ($11,000; 87 DKFP) posted a five-under 65 Saturday at East Lake. He started his day off with three birdies on the front nine then reached the DraftKings’ bonus for three consecutive birdies on the back. Thomas’ 65 moved him up to third place at -15 overall and tied the lowest round of Saturday with Ancer ($9,600; 66.5 DKFP), who didn’t record a bogey during the third round and is now T5 at -10. Heading into Sunday at the playoff finale, Thomas now carries the third-best odds to win the FedEx Cup on the DraftKings Sportsbook at +1200 while Ancer is far behind at +10,000. — Alex Hunter

Round 2 Recap — Friday

Patrick Cantlay leads TOUR Championship following second round

Following his victory last week at the BMW Championship, Cantlay ($13,400; 70 DKFP) became the new leader in FedEx Cup points, rewarding him with the best starting position for the TOUR Championship this week at -10. Now, after carding a 67 on Thursday and then a bogeyless 66 on Friday, Cantlay remains the leader of this playoff finale, one shot ahead of Jon Rahm ($13,000; 70.5 DKFP), who began the event at -6. Despite owning the most FedEx Cup points, Cantlay wasn’t a popular DFS option this week, checking in with the sixth-lowest ownership in the $1 Million Flop Shot contest. Additionally, while he maintains the lead, Cantlay carries the second-best odds to win the FedEx Cup on the DraftKings Sportsbook at +140, trailing Rahm, who is the favorite at -110. — Alex Hunter

Jon Rahm closes in on the lead at the TOUR Championship

The TOUR Championship is the finale of the FedEx Cup playoffs, and the format is a bit different. Rahm ($13,000) entered the tournament four strokes behind leader Patrick Cantlay ($13,400) due to their respective rankings, but Rahm has made up almost the entire difference. He’s shot a 65 in each of the first two rounds — which tied him for the low round on the course each day — and he now trails Cantlay by just one stroke entering the weekend. Rahm was the most popular golfer in the field this week, checking in with more than 45% ownership across DraftKings tournaments. He enters the third round as a -110 favorite to win the tournament on DraftKings Sportsbook, but Cantlay is not far behind at +140. — Matt LaMarca

Round 1 Recap — Thursday

Patrick Cantlay off to fast start at TOUR Championship

Cantlay ($13,400; 48 DKFP) played well with the lead on Thursday, firing a three-under 67 at the TOUR Championship to take a two-shot lead into Friday’s second round. The BMW Championship winner and current FedEx Cup leader started the say at 10-under with his standing and carded four birdies against just one bogey to get to -13, two strokes better than Jon Rahm ($13,000; 44.5 DKFP). He started off at -6, down in fourth place in the standings, but is right in contention thanks to a five-under 65, which included four birdies on a bogey-free back nine. Bryson DeChambeau ($12,300; 38.5 DKFP) and Harris English ($8,700; 49 DKFP) sit in a tie for third at -8. — Kenny Ducey

Daniel Berger slow out of the gate at TOUR Championship

Many had high hopes for Berger ($5,800; 16 DKFP) this week, who was the second-most popular player in the $1M Flop Shot at 32.65%, but the TOUR Championship hasn’t started the way many expected. He carded a two-over 72 on Thursday, putting him in a tie for second-to-last place in the small field. He scattered six bogeys and four birdies to all but end his hopes of winning the tournament. Jon Rahm ($13,000; 44.5 DKFP), the chalkiest player at 39.17%, had a pretty nice round of 65 to put him just two shots off the lead in second while Rory McIlroy ($9,300; 23.5 DKFP), the third-most popular player, is tied for 17th at -4 following a 68. — Kenny Ducey
