Fear not, your ultimate soothsayer is back with the Week 11 edition of Lepler’s Locks!
After another perfect 3-0 week, I enter this prognostication session with all-time confidence, which probably means we are all doomed. Alas, these picks all look like winners, with spreads that, in my opinion, are slightly off, meaning value with every selection.
Without further adieu, here are my three suggestions — a.k.a. “locks” — for the upcoming ultimate weekend.

Seattle Cascades (+4.5)
I’ve got the Seattle Cascades +4.5 on the road at San Jose. Don’t be dissuaded by Seattle’s ugly second half against these same Spiders at home last week, these are two even teams and San Jose should not be giving four and a half points against anyone. In the previous 12 quarters these two squads have battled, Seattle has won six of them, San Jose has won five, and one has been tied. Sure, the Spiders are playing at home, but they are 2-3 in their five previous home games, and those two victories have come by a combined six goals. Don’t overthink this one. Take the points, and thank me later.
Minnesota Wind Chill (-6)
It’s an important weekend for the Minnesota Wind Chill, and they have beaten Detroit twice by a combined 25 goals this season. Consequently, taking Minnesota -6 feels like easy money. The Mechanix have covered their last three games, but dropping the spread as low as six still strikes me as a mistake. A reminder that Detroit has lost 48 straight games, an insane streak dating back to 2017. Furthermore, the Mechanix are currently 0-10 this season, losing by an average of 11.6 goals per game. The Wind Chill will absolutely win by at least seven to officially clinch their playoff berth.
Raleigh Flyers (PK)
Lastly, I’m going with the Raleigh Flyers in their Saturday night showdown with Atlanta. The line is even, so this is a pick’em, and I like Raleigh to finally break through against one of the other top three in their division. Currently, Raleigh is 7-3, with all three losses coming by one goal against Atlanta, DC, and New York. But the Flyers could easily be 10-0, and the Hustle did not exactly defeat Raleigh convincingly back in June, winning by one in overtime. Playing at home, Raleigh could easily be giving 1.5 or 2, so getting the Flyers in a pick’em also feels like real value. Atlanta could certainly win, but Raleigh should be expected to win, and that’s why the Flyers are the pick.
