Round 4 Recap — Sunday

Collin Morikawa wins The Open Championship

Morikawa ($9,200; 115.5 DKFP) became the first golfer since 1934 to win two majors in his first eight major starts after passing Louis Oosthuizen ($9,300; 102 DKFP) to win The Open Championship. On the hottest day of the year in Sandwich, England, Oosthuizen melted, finishing tied for third with a one-over round. Oosthuizen has finished in the top three in three straight majors, but this was disappointing after he led each of the first three rounds. Morikawa made four birdies and played bogey-free to add this Open Championship to his PGA Championship from 2020 and his win at the WGC-Workday from earlier this season. His putter still runs hot and cold, but when he’s locked in on the greens, he can dominate in any event.

Brooks and Bryson both surge on Sunday at Royal St. George’s

Many big names took advantage of good scoring conditions on Sunday at Royal St. George’s Golf Club and moved up the leaderboard. Rivals Brooks Koepka ($10,700; 92 DKFP) and Bryson DeChambeau ($9,900; 72 DKFP) were two of four players to shoot a five-under on Sunday, with Koepka jumping into a tie for sixth and DeChambeau moving up to a tie for 33rd. Xander Schauffele ($10,000; 65 DKFP) and Rickie Fowler ($7,300; 60 DKFP) were the other two golfers to match that score, moving up to ties for 26th and 53rd, respectively. Jordan Spieth ($9,700; 112.5DKFP) and Jon Rahm ($11,300; 105.5 DKFP) each shot a four-under with Spieth finishing solo second and Rahm finishing one stroke further back in a tie for third.

Round 3 Recap — Saturday

Louis Oosthuizen still leads headed into the Final Round of The Open Championship

For the third straight day, Oosthuizen ($9,300; 103 DKFP) has the lead at The Open Championship after shooting a one-under-par on Saturday at Royal St. George’s Golf Club. He’ll be looking to become the first wire-to-wire winner at The Open since Rory McIlroy in 2014 and claim his second major victory after runner-up finishes at the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open earlier this season. Oostuhuizen is being chased by Collin Morikawa ($9,200; 80.5 DKFP), who is just one stroke back and will join him in Sunday’s final pairing. Two strokes further back is Jordan Spieth ($9,700; 81 DKFP), while Corey Conners ($7,100; 78 DKFP) and Scottie Scheffler ($8,200; 69 DKFP) round out the top-five but still have four shots to make up on Oosthuizen. — Zach Thompson

Robert MacIntyre vaults into the top 20 with the best round of the day at The Open Championship

Saturday was moving day at Royal St. George’s Golf Club, and no one moved more than Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre ($7,300; 51 DKFP), who fired a five-under round highlighted by a strong birdie-birdie finish. MacIntyre is still eight shots off the pace set by leader Louis Oostuhuizen ($9,300; 103 DKFP), but there are 10 players within five strokes including Corey Conners ($7,100; 78 DKFP), who shot a four-under Saturday, U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm ($11,300; 72 DKFP) and Cameron Smith ($7,800; 62 DKFP). Kevin Streelman ($6,800; 62.5 DKFP) and Jason Kokrak ($7,200; 54 DKFP) also moved into the top 20 with four-under rounds on Saturday. — Zach Thompson

Round 2 Recap — Friday

With a record-low score, Louis Oosthuizen opens up a two-shot lead at The Open Championship

After a five-under round on Friday, Oosthuizen ($9,300; 88.5 DKFP) has the lowest total score at 11-under headed into the weekend. He actually had it all the way to 12-under before a late bogey to go with his four birdies and an eagle on the day. He only leads by two strokes over Collin Morikawa ($9,200; 63.5 DKFP), who started the day with a six-under round that vaulted him up the leaderboard. Jordan Spieth ($9,700; 63.5 DKFP) stayed in contention with a solid round and is alone in third place, three shots off the pace. There are also some big names tied for fourth with Dustin Johnson ($10,400; 60.5 DKFP) and Scottie Scheffler ($8,200; 56.0 DKFP) joining Dylan Frittelli ($6,500; 54.5 DKFP) four shots behind Oosthuizen. — Zach Thompson

Bryson DeChambeau rallies late to make the cut at The Open Championship

After a rough start to the week and plenty of negative attention for his comments about his driver, DeChambeau ($9,900; 32.0 DKFP) managed to hang around for the weekend at Royal St. George’s by making the cut on the number at one-over with an even-par round on Friday. DeChambeau had four bogeys and just two birdies through his first 13 holes, but registered a couple of late birdies to get inside the line. He’s 12 shots off the lead in a tie for 65th. Notable names that won’t be playing the weekend include Tyrell Hatton ($9,000; 25.5 DKFP), Patrick Cantlay ($8,900; 30.5 DKFP), Patrick Reed ($8,800; 22.5 DKFP) and PGA Championship winner Phil Mickelson ($7,500; 11.0 DKFP). — Zach Thompson

Round 1 Recap — Thursday

Louis Oosthuizen leads The Open Championship after first round

In the final major championship of 2021, Oosthuizen ($9,300; 60.0 DKFP) sits atop the pantheon of The Open Championship after shooting a six-under 64. He leads Brian Harman ($7,100; 47.5 DKFP) and Jordan Spieth ($9,700; 46.0 DKFP) by one stroke heading into Friday. Oosthuizen was status quo for the first seven holes until he birdied Hole 8 and Hole 9. He completed the unblemished round with birdies on 10, 13, 14 and 16. DraftKings Sportsbook still has Spieth as the favorite to win it at +350, but Oosthuizen is right behind at +450. — Stan Son

Harris English falls apart on Day 1 at The Open Championship

Entering the 149th Open Championship, English ($7,300; 9.0 DKFP) was 60-to-1 to win it all. In the $2.5M Fantasy Golf Millionaire tournament on DraftKings, he was rostered in 17% of lineups. Now, after the carnage that took place on Thursday, it will be difficult for English to even make the cut. It was an ominous beginning as he bogeyed the first hole of the day. He got it back right away on the next hole, but bogeys on 3, 5 and 9 put him at three-over after the front nine. On the back nine, English had two quick bogeys, and though he got those strokes right back on the following holes, a double-bogey on 18 was the killer. — Stan Son
