Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 9

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Wednesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

We’ve reached Wednesday which means there’s some wild weather in the forecast on the DraftKings Dream Stream for today’s six Madden 21 sims. The Madden simulated season continues, with Week 7 getting underway on the featured classic slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET with a rain game between the Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants. In primetime at 8:00 p.m. ET, the New York Jets come off their bye week to visit the New England Patriots in the wind, and we close out the night with the Washington Football Team taking on the Green Bay Packers in the snow.

You can keep up with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Football Team, $7,300 — This is a bad matchup for Rodgers since Washington’s pass rush is one of the best in Madden 21, but there aren’t any other top plays on the slate, so he’s still the best option. Rodgers is coming off a huge game with 349 passing yards, three touchdowns and 31.7 DKFP against the Bears and has over 22 DKFP in three straight. He has totaled 172 touchdowns in his 88 sims while averaging 257.5 passing yards per game. Washington’s secondary is beatable if he can stay upright long enough to get the ball to his playmakers.

Other Option — Cam Newton ($6,500)

Value

Daniel Jones, New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers, $6,100 — The Giants have been pretty solid this season thanks to strong performances from Jones, who has multiple passing touchdowns and over 15 DKFP in five straight sims while averaging 19.2 DKFP over that span. After beating the Cowboys and Rams, Jones has led the Giants to first place in the NFC East and gets a favorable matchup to keep producing against Carolina. If you need salary flexibility, Jones makes for a very attractive pivot play from Rodgers.

Other Option — Teddy Bridgewater ($6,000)

Running Back

Stud

Le’Veon Bell, New York Jets at New England Patriots, $7,200 — Bell has been the focus of the Jets’ offense in Madden 21 and fared well in this specific matchup against his divisional foe. Bell has over 21 DKFP in four of his five previous meetings with New England and should be very involved as a pass-catcher since down-field passing could be tricky in the wind. Bell has at least three catches in all five of his games this season, highlighted by a nine-catch, 48.8-DKFP performance against the Broncos. He brings that kind of upside against the Patriots and should get heavy utilization, which makes him relatively low-risk.

Other Option — Saquon Barkley ($6,900)

Value

J.D. McKissic, Washington Football Team at Green Bay Packers, $6,200 — McKissic is another RB who has been very involved as a receiver with at least three catches in 13 of his past 14 sims. He has double-digit DKFP in 11 straight sims after finishing with 11.5 DKFP in Washington’s loss to the Chiefs in his most recent contest. He should be able to find room against the Packers in the snow and is a low-risk option with a high ceiling since he also typically gets a heavy workload like Bell.

Other Options — James White ($4,600)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Football Team, $6,300 — Adams hasn’t been quite as remarkably consistent in these sims as he is in real life, but he still has the highest upside of any WR on the slate. He has 45 touchdowns in 87 sims including three in his past four games and has averaged 4.7 catches for 69.8 yards per contest. He had seven catches, 84 yards and 21.4 DKFP against the Bears in his most recent sim and has a lot of upside due to his 94 overall rating while Washington’s best CB only brings an 86 overall rating.

Other Options — DJ Moore ($5,400), Julian Edelman ($5,100)

Value

Darius Slayton, New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers, $4,600 — Slayton has been outstanding for the surprising Giants this sim season and has four touchdowns in his past four games including back-to-back performances of 31.1 and 20 DKFP coming into this contest. He has big-play potential and gets good volume, setting him up for success in this favorable spot against the Panthers.

Curtis Samuel, Carolina Panthers at New York Giants, $4,300 — Samuel makes sense on the other side of this rainy game as well, and he has had some big games for the Panthers out of the slot, averaging 4.5 catches for 50.3 yards while scoring 34 times in 81 sims. He has been quiet recently but had 16.6 DKFP on eight catches in his most recent sim against Big Blue.

Other Options — Chris Hogan ($4,800), Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($4,500), Dontrelle Inman ($3,800)

Tight End

Stud

Chris Herndon, New York Jets at New England Patriots, $5,100 — Herndon has been one of the busiest TEs in Madden 21 and has averaged 4.8 catches per contest with over that mark in three straight sims. He has posted double-digit DKFP in three of his past five meetings with the Patriots and should be in for heavy usage on short routes in the wind in virtual Foxboro.

Other Option — Evan Engram ($5,400)

Value

Jeremy Sprinkle, Washington Football Team at Green Bay Packers, $4,200 — While he didn’t get much work in real life last season, Sprinkle has been very solid in Madden 21, averaging 4.0 catches for 44.4 yards per game. He has double-digit DKFP in three of his past five games, including a seven-catch performance against the Chiefs in his most recent contest.

Other Option — Devin Asiasi ($4,600), Ian Thomas ($3,800)

DST

Stud

Patriots DST vs. New York Jets, $3,200 — The Patriots have forced 86 turnovers in 86 sims in addition to accumulating 143 sacks and 15 defensive touchdowns. They have at least seven DKFP in each of their three most recent matchups with the Jets and should be able to get to a struggling Sam Darnold ($6,200) in the wind in this contest.

Value

Washington Football Team DST at Green Bay Packers, $3,000 — Even against Aaron Rodgers, Washington could be a good play due to its ferocious pass rush. In 86 sims, Washington has 178 sacks to go with 64 takeaways and 13 defensive touchdowns. The Washington Football Team defense has also been one of the best in Madden 21 at limiting opponents’ scoring, which has helped them average 6.0 DKFP per sim, the highest mark of any DST on this slate.
