Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 28

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

On this final Monday in June, the DraftKings Dream Stream continues Week 14 of the Madden simulated season with six more matchups on the schedule. The second half of that schedule will be part of the featured three-game classic contest, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET with an AFC North matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns. The primetime Monday Night Football contest features the New York Giants visiting the Los Angeles Chargers at 8:00 p.m. ET, and we close out the evening with a value-packed matchup from the virtual Mile High City between the Detroit Lions and the Denver Broncos at 10:00 p.m. ET.

As you build your lineups, be sure to consider the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims, along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns, $9,200 — No other player on this slate has a salary over $7,600, but Jackson continues to prove he’s worth paying all the way up for with a monster game in just about every sim. He has run for at least 120 yards in three of his four most recent sims and posted over 25 DKFP in each of those four contests. He also has over 30 DKFP in six of his past 10, including a 33.78-DKFP performance against the Browns when the Ravens beat them 25-11 in their first meeting of the sim season. He brings a crazy high ceiling with his average of 104.9 rushing yards per sim and carries a huge workload in the Ravens’ offense.

Other Options — Baker Mayfield ($6,800)

Value

Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos, $6,500 — The Broncos and the Lions have been two of the best defenses to target for fantasy purposes, so there is actually a lot of potential for points in the late game. Stafford almost always provides plenty of yards, averaging 243.0 passing yards per sim, but his fantasy value totally depends on how many touchdowns he throws. He has a total of 146 touchdown tosses in his 88 sims with multiple scores in four of his past six. In each of those four games, he has over 16 DKFP, dating back to a huge 31.28-DKFP game against Cincinnati.

Other Option — Daniel Jones ($6,300)

Running Back

Stud

Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants, $7,600 — Ekeler has been the workhorse back for the Chargers in Madden 21, averaging 70.1 rushing yards, 3.8 catches and 28.7 receiving yards per sim while scoring 80 touchdowns in 93 contests. He had a touchdown and 18.2 DKFP in his first matchup with the Giants and has posted over a dozen DKFP in nine of his past 10 sims while averaging 19.9 DKFP over that span.

Other Option — Saquon Barkley ($7,500)

Value

J.K. Dobbins, Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns, $4,500 — Dobbins is in a timeshare with Mark Ingram II ($4,000) and also loses rushing work to Jackson at times, but he has shown he can offer good value when given opportunities. He has double-digit DKFP in each of his two most recent sims including a 10.2-DKFP performance against the Browns. Despite his inconsistent workload, his role as both power back and third-down back makes him the best play under $5K in the backfield.

Other Option — D’Andre Swift ($5,300), Kareem Hunt ($4,700)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos, $5,900 — The Broncos have routinely given up monster games to opposing WR1s, so Golladay could be in for a ceiling game in this matchup. He has been very volatile with some huge games like his 30.9 DKFP against the Bengals as well as some major disappointments like his 5.1 DKFP against the Steelers a few sims ago. He typically feasts on weaker defenses, and if that’s the case this Monday, he could end up the top WR on the board.

Other Options — Odell Beckham Jr. ($6,600), Keenan Allen ($5,700)

Value

Sterling Shepard, New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers, $5,200 — Shepard has double-digit DKFP in four of his past five sims after posting an impressive 21.2 DKFP against the Dolphins in his most recent contest. He has been thriving as the Giants’ WR2 and has posted at least three catches in seven of his eight most recent contests.

Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions, $4,300 — Like their opponent in this sim, the Lions have also had issues in their secondary, so the Broncos’ WRs come with value potential. Jeudy has found the end zone in three straight sims, highlighted by going off for 23.2 DKFP against the Cowboys a few sims ago. The rookie WR can be a little boom-or-bust due to inconsistent QB play but does have multiple catches in eight of his past nine contests.

Other Options — Courtland Sutton ($5,100), Darius Slayton ($4,700), Danny Amendola ($4,400), Joe Reed ($3,400)

Tight End

Stud

Evan Engram, New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers, $5,700 — Engram has been on a tear with eight touchdowns in his past nine sims and an average of 18.5 DKFP over that stretch. He had nine catches for 108 yards and 22.8 DKFP in his first matchup with the Chargers and brings a great ceiling to this rematch as one of the fastest TEs in all of Madden 21.

Other Option — T.J. Hockenson ($5,100)

Value

Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants, $4,200 — On the other side of the primetime matchup, Henry hasn’t had as much success down the field but remains a reliable target with a heavy workload. He has at least four catches in seven of his past eight sims and is coming off a solid 14.5-DKFP performance against the Broncos in his most recent sim. At this salary, he’s a low-risk play that comes with solid upside.

Other Option — Noah Fant ($3,900)

DST

Stud

Chargers DST vs. New York Giants, $3,200 — The Chargers have been one of the best defenses in Madden 21 led by Nick Bosa and Derwin James Jr. They have forced 84 turnovers in 93 sims while piling up an impressive 202 sacks (2.2 per game). They had 12.0 DKFP in their first matchup with the Giants and always bring double-digit upside since they routinely make so many big plays.

Value

Broncos DST vs. Detroit Lions, $2,800 — The Broncos haven’t been as consistent as the Chargers but do have a high ceiling in this favorable matchup due to their strong pass rush led by Von Miller. Denver has totaled 166 sacks in their 88 sims with 37 takeaways to average 4.0 DKFP per contest.
