After the Atlanta Hawks got their punch in, taking Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals last week, the Milwaukee Bucks came back with a vengeance in Game 2 to level the series. Heading to Atlanta, the pressure remains on Milwaukee to pick up a road win and truly even things.
With plenty of excitement sure to ensue, let’s get into how to construct your Showdown lineups.

Captain
Trae Young ($16,800 CP)
Young had an off night in Game 2. It happens. The good news is that he played just 28 minutes because of how poorly he performed and should be ready to give the Hawks over 40 minutes once again on Sunday. The usage is unquestioned, and frankly unmatched in this series, and it’s worth noting that Young has been an exceptional fantasy performer despite the fact that he still hasn’t shot the three particularly well in the postseason. He’s been a much better shooter at home this season and is just one great shooting night away from exploding from a fantasy perspective.
Jrue Holiday ($14,400 CP)
Holiday has been in his bag over the past three games and has usurped Khris Middleton ($15,000 CP; $10,000) as second fiddle to Giannis. His defense on Young has been vital, and his playmaking sublime. On top of that, he is the only guy knocking down shots. If I’m not going with Young in the captain’s spot, this is the guy I trust the most. He’ll probably be chalky, but at least you get a good floor.

Fades
Khris Middleton ($10,000)
In 40 home games this year, including the postseason, Khris Middleton is shooting 44.8% from three. In 41 road games? 35.1%. This number was never more evident than in the Eastern Conference semifinals when Middleton disappeared every time Milwaukee traveled to Brooklyn. I’m not fading Middleton off of a bad game, I’m fading Middleton off of a horrible trend. He’s struggled big-time away from Milwaukee, so there’s no reason to pay this kind of price.
Value UTIL Options
John Collins ($8,800)
Mike Budenholzer not only seems determined to lose this series, but he also seems hellbent on getting Brook Lopez ($6,200) big minutes at center. The issue with this is that the Hawks’ bigs, namely Collins, are so much more athletic than Lopez and cause serious issues. Collins has been a menace on the glass all postseason and is so, so talented. I love him to get back to dominating here at home.
Bobby Portis ($3,200)
For the reason I stated above, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a little more Portis here in Game 3. Even if he saw the 15-20 minutes he’s been seeing, though, he’s way too cheap. All Portis needs for you is around 15-20 DKFP, and he’s proved dynamic enough to get them. For a team in search of offense, he’s been able to provide it on the second unit. This is rare and valuable, and given the fact he matches up way better against these Hawks bigs, he’s earned more minutes. He might just get them.
The Outcome
The Hawks have had some explosive offensive performances this postseason, and all but one has come on their home floor. This should be another — Milwaukee has refused to make any adjustments and seems to be skating by off of a gameplan that simply needs to be adjusted here. Atlanta shoots better than it did in Game 2, Khris Middleton goes missing, and the Hawks move in front, 2-1.
Final Score: Atlanta 101, Milwaukee 98
