Quarterback
Stud
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys, $8,400 — Since it’s an exciting matchup, the Cowboys and Chiefs have been pitted against each other seven times in Madden 21. In those seven games, Mahomes has averaged 22.7 DKFP per contest with 18 total touchdowns. Mahomes had a down game with only 11.86 DKFP vs. the Packers in his most recent game, but prior to that, he had four straight games with over 300 yards and over 28 DKFP in each contest. He should be able to bounce back against Dallas’s defense and reach his impressive average of 24.7 DKFP on 288.4 passing yards per contest over his 98 Madden 21 sims.
Other Option — Dak Prescott ($6,300)
Value
Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Giants, $6,200 — If you’re going to pivot off of Mahomes and his monster salary, the other cover athlete of Madden 22 makes a solid value play with a salary just over $6K. Brady has a favorable matchup against a struggling Giants secondary and has averaged 17.4 DKFP on 256.3 passing yards per sim over his 94 sims. He has 156 passing scores in those contests and over 15 DKFP in six straight sims. He’s a low-risk, steady option that leaves more salary for spending up at other roster spots and can be a solid pivot if Mahomes doesn’t break the slate.
Other Option — Daniel Jones ($6,100)

Running Back
Stud
Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, $7,200 — Ekeler is the workhorse back for the Chargers and has averaged 19.6 DKFP per sim on 78 total touchdowns to go with 71.3 rushing yards, 28.7 receiving yards and 3.7 receptions per sim. He had two touchdowns, six catches and 30.7 DKFP in his most recent matchup vs. Pittsburgh and 17.3 DKFP in their first Madden 21 meeting. He should be poised for another big workload and big total in this rematch.
Other Options — Ezekiel Elliott ($7,300), Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($5,900)
Value
LeSean McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New York Giants, $3,700 — McCoy is crazy-cheap for his average of 8.1 DKFP per sim and his consistent role as the Bucs’ third-down back. He only had one catch in his most recent sim but had at least three catches in each of his previous seven contests, averaging 8.8 DKFP over that stretch. He has scored 16 touchdowns in 94 sims and should be considered at under $4K if you plan to pay up at other roster spots.
Other Options — Leonard Fournette ($5,000), Jaylen Samuels ($4,400)
Wide Receiver
Stud
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys, $7,800 — Hill’s 99 speed rating and great QB play from Mahomes have made him the top WR play in Madden 21. He’s averaging an amazing 22.7 DKFP per sim and had over 30 DKFP in three of four before struggling to just 2.6 DKFP vs. the Packers in his most recent sim. That performance was such an outlier, and he should bounce back in a big way since he has averaged 6.3 catches for 94.3 yards per sim to go with his 92 touchdowns in 98 games. His ceiling is ridiculously high, and he seems like a bargain even as the most expensive WR available.
Other Options — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,700), Chris Godwin ($5,900)
Value
Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs, $5,300 — The Cowboys will have to air it out to keep up with Hill and the Chiefs, which sets up Gallup to be a strong mid-range play. He averaged 13.5 DKFP in his seven previous matchups vs. the Chiefs and went off for 28.5 and 32.8 DKFP in his two most recent contests vs. KC. Gallup has also been rolling lately with double-digit DKFP in 10 of his past 11 sims, displaying his upside by posting 19-plus DKPF in four performances during that run.
Joe Reed, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, $3,200 — With Hill, Mahomes and big-ticket RBs eating up salary cap space, Reed is an outstanding option at barely over the minimum. He has a regular role as the Chargers’ WR3 and has scored three touchdowns in his two previous games vs. Pittsburgh, finishing with 7.5 and 22.5 DKFP. He has at least three catches in five of his past six games and should be a great play at this price if he stays involved.
Other Options — Keenan Allen ($5,600), Darius Slayton ($4,500), Demarcus Robinson ($3,800), Scotty Miller ($3,300)

Tight End
Stud
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys, $5,500 — Kelce isn’t the most expensive TE on the slate, but he is still an outstanding play. Despite some recent inconsistencies, he had 20 DKFP vs. the Packers in his most recent sim and still has good averages with 5.6 catches for 66.8 yards per sim along with 51 touchdowns in 98 contests. He should get plenty of work vs. Dallas, who he has posted over 12 DKFP against in five straight meetings, including two games with over 29 DKFP.
Other Options — Eric Ebron ($5,600), Evan Engram ($5,300)
Value
Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, $3,700 — Henry is the cheapest starting TE on the slate and comes at a very nice price under $4K. He has at least three catches in five straight and posted 9.4 and 13.9 DKFP in his two earlier matchups vs. the Steelers.
DST
Stud
Steelers DST at Los Angeles Chargers, $2,900 — The Steelers’ defense has thrived on big-play production throughout Madden 21, creating 78 turnovers in 88 sims while racking up 182 sacks and 13 defensive touchdowns. They had 7 and 18 DKFP in their two earlier matchups vs. the Chargers and should be in a good spot for more big plays.
Value
Buccaneers DST vs. New York Giants, $2,700 — The Bucs’ defense has given up big plays and big totals but always gets after the QB. In 94 sims, they have an impressive 229 sacks, which has helped them average 5.1 DKFP per sim. The Giants’ offensive line has struggled, so the Bucs should get plenty of pressure on Daniel Jones ($6,100).
