Fantasy Basketball Picks: Top DraftKings NBA DFS Lineup Strategy for Nets vs. Bucks Showdown on June 13

Alex Hunter gives his top NBA lineup advice for Sunday’s fantasy basketball Showdown contest on DraftKings between the Nets and Bucks, which starts at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Following the nail-biter for Game 3, the Nets and Bucks go head-to-head for Game 4 in Milwaukee on Sunday at 3:00 PM EST. As usual, DraftKings is offering up a huge Showdown contest for this game, and below I give you some of my favorite options to attack for the format.

Captain’s Pick

Kevin Durant ($17,100 CP)

Albeit in a losing effort, Durant was spectacular Thursday vs. the Bucks, finishing with 61 DKFP across 43 minutes. This massive minute total was extremely encouraging for the superstar, and Durant’s usage was at a team-high 37.1% with James Harden (hamstring) still sidelined. With the Beard already ruled out for Sunday’s Game 4, Durant should garner another mammoth workload, especially with the Nets only favored by 1.5-points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The former MVP is generating an elite 1.5 DKFP per minute with Harden off the floor so far this postseason, and Durant should top 60 DKFP for the second straight out Sunday afternoon.

Jrue Holiday ($12,600 CP)

Holiday has been extremely underwhelming so far in this best of seven, scoring only 27.4 DKFP per game against the Nets. But, with so much on the line in Game 3, the combo guard barely left the floor, logging a team-high 46 minutes. With his team still down in this series, the hefty volume should maintain in Game 4, and we have to expect some positive regression for Holiday.

During the regular season, he exposed the Nets for 41.8 DKFP per game and whenever the Bucks have been at home and the spread has been under five points in 2021, Holiday has been very productive with 42.5 DKFP per game. While it isn’t the safest strategy, rostering Holiday at captain is guaranteed to make your lineup contrarian Sunday, and this the type of risk we need to be taking if we want to win a GPP for a single-game format.

UTIL Plays

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,800)

Trailing 2-1 in this second-round series vs. the Nets, Antetokounmpo is an obvious choice on his home floor. The two-time MVP got all the way up to 43 minutes in Game 3, resulting in 53 DKFP, and it’s hard to imagine Antetokounmpo sees anything less than 40 minutes again in Game 4. Considering he is producing a whopping 1.7 DKFP per minute this season, this is an immense opportunity for Antetokounmpo to post a huge fantasy score at home in Milwaukee.

In six matchups against Brooklyn this season, Antetokounmpo is amassing 58.4 DKFP per game, and he is a lock for at least 55 DKFP.

Bruce Brown ($6,000)

As the replacement starter for Harden, Brown handled a season-high 38 minutes in Game 3, helping him post 35.25 DKFP. With Harden missing again for Game 4, Brown should see nothing less than 30 minutes, making him a value play that has to be considered for this showdown slate.

In the 12 tilts in which Brown has received 30 minutes or more this season, the 24-year-old has supplied 30.6 DKFP per game.

Brook Lopez ($5,400)

Similar to Antetokounmpo and Holiday, Lopez saw a large upgrade in his playing time for Game 3. He played 35 minutes in total, which is a significant difference from the 27.6 minutes per game the center saw in the first six contests of the postseason.

Including his 31.75 DKFP performance in Game 3, Lopez is collecting 27.75 DKFP per game whenever he has eclipsed 30 minutes this season, and his $5,400 price tag is just too low for his role in this tight rotation playoff rotation for the Bucks.

Fades

Joe Harris ($7,000)

The perimeter defense of the Bucks has given Harris serious problems in the past two games of this series. The 29-year-old is shooting the ball at nearly a 50% clip this season, but in these last two against the Bucks, Harris has only converted 23% of his attempts. The poor shooting has translated to only 13.6 DKFP per game for the shooting guard, and competing on the road has also been an issue for Harris this year.

Compared to when he is at home in Brooklyn, Harris is scoring 4.5 less DKFP per game, and there are far better value plays to consider for this single-game slate.

The Outcome

The Bucks secured the much-needed victory in Game 3, but it wasn’t easy in any way, and throughout this entire series, the Nets have proven that they are the better club, even with Harden out of the lineup. While the Bucks have a bunch of playoff experience on their side, it simply doesn’t compare to the championship pedigree of Durant and Kyrie Irving ($10,400), and I expect the Nets to bounce back and cover this 1.5-point line on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Final Score: Nets 115, Bucks 109
