Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for June 12

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Saturday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

After Friday’s abbreviated schedule due to some American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL), the current Madden simulated season will continue on the DraftKings Dream Stream this Saturday with a full day of six games throughout the afternoon and evening. The later three games make up the featured classic contest which gets underway at 6:00 p.m. ET when the Los Angeles Rams visit the Houston Texans. At 8:00 p.m. ET in primetime, we get a nice AFC North clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns, and the night closes out with the Philadelphia Eagles rolling into the virtual Motor City to face the Detroit Lions.

You can keep up with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams, $7,600 — Especially on this slate, Watson has to be considered due to his high ceiling. He threw for four touchdowns in each of his two most recent contests, finishing with 41.46 DKFP against the Colts followed by 32.52 DKFP against the Cardinals. Watson has at least 18 DKFP in seven of his past eight games and seems to always put up big numbers despite his team’s disappointing record. He had over 27 DKFP in two of his three previous matchups with the Rams, so the ceiling is definitely there for the dual-threat QB to be a solid play in this rematch.

Other Options — Carson Wentz ($7,200)

Value

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams at Houston Texans, $6,300 — One of the main reasons Houston has struggled is that their pass defense has been one of the worst in Madden 21. As a result, this should be a favorable spot for Goff, who has had some big games despite his inconsistencies. He has good playmakers to work with and has thrown for over 200 yards in all seven of his games this season, averaging 15.8 DKFP and producing at least 12 DKFP in every outing. He had 19.0, 24.76 and 17.92 DKFP in his three games against the Texans earlier in Madden 21 and should again be a solid play with good upside.

Other Option — Matthew Stafford ($6,500)

Running Back

Stud

Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions, $7,000 — Sanders is the only feature-back on the slate since every other team in action uses a timeshare. Sanders is both the RB1 and third-down back for the Eagles and has averaged 63.5 rushing yards, 25.3 receiving yards and 3.5 catches per game while scoring 64 total touchdowns in 86 sims. Sanders had a mediocre 13.1 DKFP against the Raiders in his most recent sim but posted over 21 DKFP in each of his two previous contests. He’ll get a great matchup against the Lions’ porous run defense in this one, and he should be poised for a monster game.

Other Options — Darrell Henderson Jr. ($5,400), Kareem Hunt ($5,000)

Value

Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns, $4,500 — Samuels has started strong with at least three catches in the first five games of the simulated season, averaging 4.8 catches and 9.5 DKFP per game over that stretch. He and the Steelers have faced the Browns four times and Samuels has averaged 6.6 DKFP per game in those meetings. He is usually a relatively safe PPR play and should stay involved in Pittsburgh’s passing game as the third-down specialist.

Other Options — D’Andre Swift ($4,700), Duke Johnson ($4,100)

Wide Receiver

Stud

DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions, $6,400 — Since everyone is 100% healthy in simland, Jackson has been a key contributor for the Eagles and a solid fantasy option in most contests. He had 101 yards, a touchdown and 25.1 DKFP against the Raiders in his most recent sim and now has over 15 DKFP in five of his past six contests. Overall, he has averaged 4.3 catches for 64.9 yards per sim while scoring 49 touchdowns in 85 Madden 21 sims. The Lions’ secondary hasn’t been good, so D-Jax is a solid WR to pay up for in this matchup.

Other Options — JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,500), Odell Beckham Jr. ($6,000)

Value

Josh Reynolds, Los Angeles Rams at Houston Texans, $5,300 — Even though Cooper Kupp ($5,800) and Robert Woods ($5,700) are ahead of him on the depth chart, Reynolds has been a great fantasy option as the Rams’ WR3. He has at least four catches in six straight games with three touchdowns in his past five games and 20.9 DKFP against the Lions in his most recent sim. He also torched the Texans for 10 catches and 36.1 DKFP in one of their prior Madden 21 meetings.

Marquise Goodwin, Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions, $4,800 — Another WR3 with massive upside is Goodwin, who always brings a high ceiling due to his 97 speed rating. He had 27.1 DKFP the last time he faced the Lions and has averaged a solid 3.4 catches per sim during this season. If he finds space, he can put up a big total in a flash.

Other Options — Jarvis Landry ($5,100), Danny Amendola ($4,200)

Tight End

Stud

T.J.Hockenson, Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles, $5,600 — Hockenson has been a key part of the Lions’ offense in Madden 21, averaging 5.0 catches for 55.1 yards per sim and scoring 27 times in 84 contests. Over his past 13 sims, he has averaged 5.9 catches per sim and has never been held under three catches. He had 10.9 and 30.6 DKFP in his two most recent matchups with the Eagles and provides both a high ceiling and a high floor since he gets so large of a workload.

Other Options — Zach Ertz ($5,500), Eric Ebron ($5,400)

Value

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams at Houston Texans, $4,300 — Houston’s defense has been a great matchup for TEs as well, and Higbee should stay involved. He has averaged 5.4 catches per game during this season, highlighted by a 10-catch, 17.2-DKFP performance against the Bucs.

Other Option — Darren Fells ($3,900)

DST

Stud

Steelers DST at Cleveland, $3,000 — The Steelers have forced 74 turnovers in 84 sims while accumulating 175 sacks to go with 13 defensive touchdowns. Pittsburgh averaged 5.5 DKFP in its four earlier games against Cleveland and is loaded with highly-rated playmakers at every level of the defense.

Value

Rams DST at Houston Texans, $2,600 — Even though he has put up excellent fantasy totals, Deshaun Watson ($7,600) has also been turnover-prone at times, and the Rams also bring some highly-rated playmakers like Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey to this matchup. The Rams had five sacks in each of their past two games and have posted at least 5.0 DKFP in four straight contests coming into this matchup.
