Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for May 4

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Tuesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The DraftKings Dream Stream is set to bring you some great Tuesday night football, featuring a nice trio of Madden 21 sims. The three-game classic slate gets underway at 6:00 p.m. ET, when the Las Vegas Raiders visit the Detroit Lions in a matchup that includes some sneaky value plays. At 8:00 p.m. ET in primetime, the Seattle Seahawks fly east to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a battle of the birds, and we close out the night with an AFC showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs. Check out my favorite fantasy football plays from those six teams listed below.

You can get all the gameplay details on the Madden Streams Information Page and dive into the full depth chart for each team.

Quarterback

Stud

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts, $7,800 — Mahomes has been the best QB in these Madden 21 sims, averaging 24.8 DKFP on 286.4 passing yards per sim and totaling an astounding 197 passing touchdowns and 17 rushing touchdowns in his 81 contests. Mahomes and the Chiefs beat the Colts in each of their two earlier meetings, and the Superstar X-factor QB posted 21.28 DKFP and 32.42 DKFP in those two contests. He has multiple touchdowns and over 25 DKFP in each of his past three sims as well.

Other Option — Russell Wilson ($7,000)

Value

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons vs. Seattle Seahawks, $6,700 — Ryan hasn’t been in the same stratosphere as Mahomes but does bring a decent ceiling as a midrange pivot. He has thrown multiple touchdowns in four straight sims and posted over 17 DKFP in seven straight, averaging 22.6 DKFP over that stretch. He has great receivers to work with and a decent matchup against the Seahawks, so look his way if you pass on the more expensive QBs.

Other Option — Matthew Stafford ($5,200)

Running Back

Stud

Todd Gurley II, Atlanta Falcons vs. Seattle Seahawks, $7,500 — Gurley has been a stud in these sims since he’s so involved as a pass-catcher out of the backfield in addition to his heavy rushing workload. He is averaging 56.3 rushing yards, 38.7 receiving yards and 4.4 catches per contest and has scored 49 touchdowns over his 73 sims. He had 27.5, 30.3, 26.2 and 14.4 DKFP in his four previous meetings with Seattle, highlighted by a pair of 11-catch performances.

Other Option — Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($7,100)

Value

Jalen Richard, Las Vegas Raiders at Detroit Lions, $4,000 — Richard is a great value at only $4K since he usually gets very involved as the Raiders’ third-down back. He posted 10.0 DKFP in his most recent matchup with the Lions and had over 7.5 DKFP in four straight before a quiet game in his most recent sim.

Other Options — D’Andre Swift ($5,500), Carlos Hyde ($4,800)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts, $7,800 — Hill is averaging an eye-popping 22.3 DKFP per sim, and Julio Jones ($7,500) is the only WR on this slate that comes within 9.0 DKFP of that average. Hill has dominated with 6.2 catches for 92.9 receiving yards per sim and 73 touchdowns in 81 contests. He had three touchdowns and 31.4 DKFP against the Jaguars in his most recent game and has over 29 DKFP in four straight coming into this matchup with the Colts’ lowly-rated secondary, which he burnt for 34.0 and 32.1 DKFP in their two previous Madden 21 meetings.

Other Option — Julio Jones ($7,500)

Value

Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders at Detroit Lions, $5,700 — Ruggs doesn’t match Hill’s 99 speed rating, but his 98 speed rating is the second-highest in all of Madden 21. Ruggs has hauled in 4.0 catches for 61.1 yards per sim but is a little more boom-or-bust than Hill due to inconsistent QB play. He does still come with a high ceiling due to his big-play ability.

Demarcus Robinson, Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts, $3,600 — Robinson is a great value under $4K as the Chiefs’ WR3. He has averaged 2.8 catches for 40.4 yards per sim and has at least three catches in three straight sims, dating back to a four-catch, 11.0-DKFP performance against these same Colts.

Other Options — Kenny Golladay ($5,400), DK Metcalf ($5,000), Russell Gage ($3,500)

Tight End

Stud

Trey Burton, Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs, $4,900 — If you can’t afford all of the Chiefs’ big stars, Travis Kelce ($6,000) is the one I would prioritize the lowest, despite his great production. Burton is a solid pivot that will save you over $1K, though, and usually gets a heavy workload, making him a steady option with over 9.0 DKFP in 10 of his past 11 sims. He had 9.1 and 14.2 DKFP in his two contests against KC.

Other Options — Travis Kelce ($6,000)

Value

T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $4,400 — This is a great price for Hockenson and makes him a solid flex consideration even if you go with Burton or Kelce as your TE. Hockenson has averaged 4.9 catches for 53.5 yards per sim and scored 23 touchdowns, numbers almost identical to Burton’s. He has been quieter recently, though, which is why he’s more affordable despite this favorable matchup.

DST

Stud

Seahawks DST at Atlanta Falcons, $3,000 — The Seahawks have been one of the best defenses in Madden 21 and are averaging an impressive 6.9 DKFP per sim. They have forced 75 turnovers in 76 sims and racked up 156 sacks to go with a dozen defensive touchdowns. Even though this isn’t an ideal matchup, they’re the best defense to consider if salary is no limitation.

Value

Lions DST vs. Las Vegas Raiders, $2,700 — There’s a huge dropoff to the cheap defenses, but if you do go with a cheaper option, the Lions are the best play based on their matchup with the Raiders’ inconsistent offense. Detroit’s defense has 34 takeaways and 117 sacks in their 70 sims and did have solid production with 9.0, 7.0 and 12.0 DKFP in their three earlier matchups with Vegas.
