Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for May 31

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 12:00 p.m. ET.

On this Memorial Day, there’s an abbreviated Madden 21 schedule on the DraftKings Dream Stream with three games that are part of the continuing Madden simulated season. The first of those games kicks off at 12 p.m. ET when the New York Jets fly to the virtual Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos. At 2 p.m. ET, the Miami Dolphins visit the Las Vegas Raiders, and at 4 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Rams host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final game of the day, which almost completes the third week of the simulated season.

You can keep up with the standings as the season continues and check out the depth charts for each team. If you’re looking for gameplay details for these sims along with the upcoming schedule, head over to the Madden Streams Information Page.

Quarterback

Stud

Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams, $7,200 — Brady is one of the best pure passers in Madden 21, although he has struggled in weather games and doesn’t measure up to some of the QBs that bring rushing potential. However, none of those elite rushing options are on this slate, and he’ll also be indoors in this contest, so there’s no weather to worry about. He had a nice run of six straight multi-touchdown performances before a set of down games in his three most recent contests and will look to get back on track vs. Los Angeles. He did have good games vs. the Rams in the past, producing 26.56, 26.96 and 16.96 in his three earlier games vs. L.A.

Other Option — Jared Goff ($6,800)

Value

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders, $6,000 — The Raiders have been one of the most favorable matchups for any team in Madden 21, and Tagovailoa should be in a good spot to go off and help the Dolphins move into a share of first place in the AFC East with a win. He had 15.36 DKFP in his previous matchup vs. Vegas and over 15 DKFP in three of his past six sims, as well. Tagovailoa has a high ceiling and a favorable matchup, so at $6K, he’s a solid place to start your lineup and still leaves plenty of cap space available for other roster spots.

Other Option — Derek Carr ($6,100)

Running Back

Stud

Le’Veon Bell, New York Jets at Denver Broncos, $7,300 — The Broncos have been a favorable matchup for opposing RBs, and Bell typically carries a big workload for the Jets. He has at least four catches out of the backfield in six of his past seven sims, with double-digit DKFP in nine straight contests. Bell had 15.7 and 22.9 DKFP in his two prior games against Denver’s beatable run defense, and the veteran should be a solid, low-risk option in this rematch.

Other Option — Matt Breida ($7,400)

Value

LeSean McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams, $4,600 — McCoy has been one of the most involved third-down RBs in all of Madden 21, averaging 3.2 catches for 22.5 yards per sim. He has multiple catches in nine straight sims and had 8.0, 5.5 and 9.2 DKFP in his three earlier matchups vs. the Rams. While he doesn’t have the reliable workload of the top two workhorse backs, McCoy is one of the best sub-$5K plays, especially given the matchup.

Other Options — Phillip Lindsay ($5,600), Darrell Henderson Jr. ($5,100), Jalen Richard ($4,200)

Wide Receiver

Stud

Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $6,400 — Woods and Cooper Kupp ($5,900) have both had some big games but also been volatile due to up-and-down play from Jared Goff ($6,800). Woods has good upside against the iffy Bucs’ secondary in Madden 21, though, and is coming off of 104 yards and 19.4 DKFP in the Rams’ Week 2 win vs. the Colts. He’s averaging 13.8 DKFP on 4.9 catches for 62.2 yards in his 80 Madden 21 sims.

Other Option — Chris Godwin ($6,100), Courtland Sutton ($5,800)

Value

Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins, $5,700 — Ruggs always brings good upside since he has a 98 speed rating, which is second in the Madden 21 universe behind only Tyreek Hill. He had seven catches for 87 yards the first time he faced the Dolphins and is averaging 4.0 catches for 59.3 yards per sim overall. He has scored 31 touchdowns, including three in his past eight sims and is coming off a decent 11.4-DKFP showing vs. the Steelers.

Albert Wilson, Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders, $3,800 — Wilson is the Dolphins’ WR2 and had three catches, 32 yards, a touchdown and 12.2 DKFP in his first matchup vs. the Raiders. He has multiple catches in four straight sims and two touchdowns over his past six sims. Wilson has good upside and makes a nice value tandem with Tagovailoa if you want to lean into attacking the Raiders’ struggling secondary.

Other Options — Josh Reynolds ($5,000), Scotty Miller ($4,300), Jakeem Grant ($3,300)

Tight End

Stud

Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins, $5,400 — Despite the Raiders’ struggles, Waller has been a fairly reliable fantasy play, averaging 4.5 catches for 54.4 yards per game and scoring a total of 24 touchdowns in 79 contests. He has a favorable matchup vs. Miami, who he had 13.5 DKFP against in their first meeting. Waller also has double-digit DKFP in five of his past seven sims.

Other Option — Chris Herndon ($5,000)

Value

Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders, $4,800 — On the other side of that matchup, Gesicki brings a lot of upside against the struggling Raiders’ defense. He had seven catches, 63 yards, a touchdown and 19.3 DKFP vs. Vegas in their prior meeting, and he has at least three catches in four straight contests and in nine of his past 11 sims.

Other Option — Tyler Higbee ($4,500)

DST

Stud

Buccaneers DST at Los Angeles Rams, $3,100 — The Bucs’ defense in Madden 21 hasn’t been nearly as good as it was during their real-life Super Bowl run, but it has made enough big plays to still be a solid option. Against Goff and the Rams, the Bucs averaged 6.3 DKFP in three previous meetings and they have averaged 4.7 DKFP in their 88 sims, overall — mostly due to 214 sacks (2.4 per game) and 39 takeaways.

Value

Jets DST at Denver Broncos, $2,900 — The Jets have averaged more DKFP per game than any other DST on this slate, but they only have the fourth-highest salary. New York has forced 45 turnovers to go with 156 sacks in 81 sims and had 13 DKFP in one of its two previous favorable matchups against Denver’s anemic offense.
