It’s a two-game slate in the NHL on Tuesday with Montreal hosting Toronto for the second consecutive night, and the 2-2 series between the Predators and Hurricanes returning to Carolina for Game 5. The Hurricanes are receiving significant chalk on home ice, whereas the Maple Leafs are also road favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook to take a 3-1 lead over the Canadiens. Here’s a look at the DraftKings daily fantasy landscape ahead of the action.
Top Line Stacks
Hurricanes vs. Predators
Andrei Svechnikov ($5,700) - Sebastian Aho ($7,000) - Teuvo Teravainen ($5,200)
Over the past two seasons, Aho, Svechnikov and Teravainen have scored 5.68 goals and generated 19.69 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes over a sample of 591:15 of ice time. They drove possession with a 68.9 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5 during Sunday’s overtime loss, too. Their combined cap hit doesn’t break the bank, either.
Canadiens vs. Maple Leafs
Joel Armia ($3,100) - Nick Suzuki ($5,000) - Cole Caufield ($4,500)
While you’ll want to make sure the trio is projected to skate together again Tuesday, Suzuki, Caufield and Armia were Montreal’s best line at 5-on-5 Monday. They’re also a cost-effective stack. Just note, Toronto has held the Canadiens to just four goals and 22 high-danger scoring chances through the first three games of the series, so there’s plenty of risk even with the low salaries.

Superstar to Build Around
Mitchell Marner, TOR at MON ($7,900) - There’s a little bit of a discount for Marner compared to Auston Matthews ($9,200). Marner also recorded more shots and attempts at 5-on-5 in Game 3, and his assist has him up to three helpers through three games in the series. Look for statistical correction in the goals column soon, too. Marner has 10 shots, 19 attempts and three individual high-danger scoring chances.

Value on Offense
Matt Duchene, NSH at CAR ($3,500) - It’s easy to forget that Duchene’s been a high-end contributor in the past and has a nice playoff track record with 21 points — seven goals — through 27 games. Additionally, he’s having a nice series against Carolina with a tally, two helpers, 13 shots, 22 attempts and a team-high 10 individual high-danger scoring chances.
Alex Kerfoot, TOR at MON ($2,800) - Playing an expanded role Monday, Kerfoot logged 18:32 of ice time and found the scoresheet in his second consecutive game. He played well with William Nylander ($5,600) and Alex Galchenyuk ($3,300) at 5-on-5 and also played on both special teams. At this salary, he’s worth a long look, especially if both John Tavares ($6,400) and Nick Foligno ($3,900) are out for Game 4.
Stud Goalies
Jack Campbell, TOR at MON ($8,100) - As noted, the Canadiens aren’t generating consistent offense or scoring, and it’s been even worse at 5-on-5 with just three goals and 16 high-danger scoring chances. Campbell, in turn, has posted a .951 save percentage and 1.35 GAA with 52 of 105 shots attempts he’s faced being low-danger scoring chances.
Juuse Saros, NSH at CAR ($7,500) - The contrarian play is definitely Saros. He’s been fantastic for a prolonged stretch with a .939 save percentage and 2.01 GAA through his past 27 starts dating back to the regular season, and his salary is the lowest of the four projected starters. Just note, there’s some risk built into the cap hit because Carolina scored six times in Games 1 and 2 on home ice.
Value on Defense
Shea Weber, MON vs. TOR ($5,000) - After recording six shots and two blocks for a solid showing in Game 1 of the series, Weber has been held to just three shots and a single block through the past two games. Look for a bounce-back showing here. He’s receiving consistent power-play time and is third on the Canadiens in shot attempts, so there’s a respectable floor from the shallow defense pool.
Rasmus Sandin, TOR at MON ($2,900) - Skating in favorable offensive situations, Sandin has begun 66.7 percent of his 5-on-5 shifts in the offensive zone while also looking confident quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit when given an opportunity. He’s a nice addition to a Toronto stack at this salary, too.
Power-Play Defenseman
Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs. NSH ($6,600) - With just a single power-play assist through the first four games of the series, Hamilton has been relatively quiet for his standards. However, he has racked up an impressive 23 shots and 35 shot attempts, so the scoresheet appearances should follow in short order. Plus, don’t forget that Nashville had the third worst penalty-kill percentage in the league during the regular season.
Roman Josi, NSH at CAR ($6,200) - The Nashville captain has found an avenue to posting solid fantasy numbers through the first four games of the series against Carolina with two assists, 20 shots and eight blocks. His 36 shot attempts also pace the Predators, so Josi’s high-fantasy floor is target worthy from the shallow defense pool.
