Madden Stream Picks: Top DraftKings Fantasy Football DFS Targets, Values for May 18

Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Tuesday’s three-game Madden Stream DraftKings slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The DraftKings Dream Stream is poised for another busy day of streams this Tuesday with six games throughout the afternoon and evening. The featured three-game classic slate focused on the latter three contests kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET with a matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Dolphins. At 8:00 p.m. ET, the Arizona Cardinals head to the virtual Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints, and we wrap up the night with the Indianapolis Colts heading to the West Coast to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Madden After Dark.

Check out all the gameplay details on the Madden Streams Information Page and dive into the full depth chart for each team. My favorite fantasy plays for today’s slate are listed below.

Quarterback

Stud

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints, $7,700 — Due to his rushing potential, Murray brings the highest ceiling of the QBs on this slate and is the only option available averaging over 20 DKFP per sim. He has averaged 67.4 rushing yards and 180.3 passing yards per sim with 31 rushing touchdowns and 86 passing touchdowns in 75 contests. He had 28.58 DKFP against the Browns in his most recent sim, giving him over 20 DKFP in six of his past nine contests, and he also has had success in this specific matchup with 20.32, 20.4 and 27.52 DKFP in his three prior sims with the Saints.

Value

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts, $6,100 — Goff and the Rams have played and beaten the Colts twice in Madden 21, behind strong games resulting in 17.48 and 23.08 DKFP from Goff. He has a nice ceiling with over 17 DKFP in three of his past four games, and the matchup with the Colts’ lowly-rated CBs should allow him to post another good game. He doesn’t run nearly as much as Murray, but he has averaged 247.2 passing yards per sim and is the safest play at QB if you decide to pivot away from Kyler.

Other Option — Drew Brees ($6,300), Tua Tagovailoa ($6,200)

Running Back

Stud

Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints vs. Arizona Cardinals, $7,400 — The Cardinals have been a favorable matchup for opposing RBs, and Kamara has been a dynamic two-way threat in these sims, averaging 56 rushing yards, 29 receiving yards and 3.8 catches per contest. He has scored 74 total touchdowns in 83 contests with seven coming in his seven most recent sims along with double-digit DKFP in 16 of his past 17 matchups. In his earlier matchups with Arizona, Kamara had 20.9, 15.1 and 14.5 DKFP.

Other Options — Kenyan Drake ($6,800), Nyheim Hines ($6,000)

Value

Darrell Henderson Jr., Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts, $5,300 — Henderson shares the backfield with Malcolm Brown ($3,700) in these sims but has managed to be productive as a third-down option for L.A. He has hauled in 4.4 catches for 32.7 yards per sim and scored a total of 25 touchdowns in 71 contests. He had a monster game with 10 catches and 30.1 DKFP a few sims ago against the Ravens, showing off his high ceiling.

Other Options — Jaylen Samuels ($4,600), James Conner ($4,000)

Wide Receiver

Stud

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins, $6,500 — As the Steelers’ WR1, Smith-Schuster has usually been busy out of the slot and has at least four catches in 12 of his past 13 games. He has over 15 DKFP in nine of his past 12 after finishing with 20.7 DKFP against the Panthers in his most recent sim. He will have a ratings advantage against whichever Dolphins CB he’s matched up against and should be set up for another strong performance.

Other Options — Michael Thomas ($6,600), Robert Woods ($6,300)

Value

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts, $5,800 — Another WR1 who works out of the slot, Kupp torched the Colts for 161 yards, a touchdown and 31.1 DKFP in one of their two previous meetings. He can be a little boom-or-bust depending on Goff’s target distribution, but he has definitely shown he can make plays when given opportunities, especially in this matchup.

Parris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams, $3,200 — Campbell is the Colts’ primary slot receiver, so he should avoid Superstar X-factor Jalen Ramsey, who typically stays on the outside. Campbell has shown plenty of upside with his 94 speed rating in Madden 21 and had five catches and 11.6 DKFP in his most recent meeting with the Rams. With a salary this low, he doesn’t have to do much to return value and also brings a very high ceiling due to his big-play potential.

Other Options — Josh Reynolds ($5,000), Larry Fitzgerald ($4,400), Jakeem Grant ($3,500)

Tight End

Stud

Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins, $5,200 — This slate features an elite group of TEs with four options averaging 12 DKFP or more. Ebron has the most touchdowns of the group with 31 scores in 76 sims and has averaged 4.7 catches for 51.5 yards per contest. Miami has struggled to cover opposing TEs, and I like Ebron’s high ceiling and low risk in this matchup.

Other Options — Trey Burton ($5,000), Jared Cook ($4,900)

Value

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts, $4,700 — Higbee hasn’t been quite as consistent as the elite plays on the board but has still flashed nice upside. He had 20.2 DKFP in his most recent game against the Colts and has at least 9.8 DKFP in each of his past four sims, including a pair of touchdowns to give him 16 scores in Madden 21.

DST

Stud

Steelers DST vs. Miami Dolphins, $3,000 — The Steelers have one of the best DSTs in all of Madden and have forced 66 turnovers in 76 sims along with 157 sacks and 12 defensive touchdowns. They should be able to get pressure on Tua Tagovailoa ($6,200), who has sometimes had turnover issues when trying to do too much for Miami.

Value

Rams DST vs. Indianapolis Colts, $2,800 — The Rams’ defense is built around Ramsey and 99-overall rated Aaron Donald, who both have the ability to single-handedly destroy opposing teams’ game plans. The Rams have been excellent at limiting opponents' scoring, which makes them a very low-risk play, and they have forced 38 turnovers with 125 sacks and five defensive touchdowns in their 75 sims.
