Saturday May 1: Fantasy World Hockey Championship
May starts off with the culmination of the fantasy hockey season, with this championship event that features 40 of the best NHL DFS players on DraftKings who have been competing all season for spots in this end-of-year tournament. First prize is $150,000 and a ticket to the Tournament of Champions, you can follow along once the contest begins on Saturday night. DraftKings will also be providing a shadow contest for anyone to be able to play against the competitors.
The shadow contest is free to enter and includes $20,000 in prizes, with an additional $10K jackpot to be split amongst anyone whose score beats the FHWC’s winning score. More information can be found directly in the contest here: NHL 2021 FHWC Shadow Contest.
Thursday May 20: $3M Fantasy Golf Millionaire
The PGA Championship starts on May 20, and DraftKings will have a massive tournament with $1M to 1st place that costs just $20 to enter. It’s obviously going to be a very large field, but the winner of this event will earn an entry to the Tournament of Championships in addition to this lofty first prize.
Saturday-Sunday May 22-23: $5M Fantasy Basketball World Championship
The Fantasy Basketball World Championship is a big enough event that it spans two days, but this particular event is notable for another reason. This will be the first live event of 2021, taking place in Charlotte, NC, and the 100 qualifiers for this contest will be able to attend in person. Coverage for this event will be accessible on the DraftKings channels on various streaming platforms, and more information will be available here on DraftKings Playbook in the coming weeks!
