Offense Notes

Field Gravitating Towards Dbacks at Home

Thursday’s main slate is a small one and none of the eight teams are in any sort of eye-popping situation, so ownership could be pretty evenly spread out across most of the teams. The one stack that does seem likely to get a disproportionate share of the ownership is the Diamondbacks, who are at home against the Rockies and Antonio Senzatela ($6,000). Senzatela isn’t a good starting pitcher and Arizona isn’t that expensive, and that’s especially relevant with a premiere top-end pitcher on the slate like Trevor Bauer ($11,300). The ownership is probably going to be excessive to the point where there are better GPP options elsewhere, but there should be some cash-viable players in the Dbacks lineup.

Looking Elsewhere

The Braves should be Thursday night’s most popular pay-up option, especially after they scored 10 runs last night against the Cubs, and they’ve generally been extremely good in recent games. The matchup is solid against Adbert Alzolay ($7,200), but this is also likely going to be another team that gets more popularity than they deserve. There are some expensive bats on the Cubs side that just won’t be made priorities, and they’ll be good options in GPPs as a result. The same is true for some of the top hitters on the Red Sox, Dodgers, and Rockies, as all of those teams look like undervalued stacks for Thursday’s slate.
