The PGA TOUR continued its West Coast swing with its annual Super Bowl weekend in Phoenix at the well-known TPC Scottsdale. While the crowds were definitely reduced this year, the limited attendees definitely brought some energy that Brooks Koepka fed off on his way to a spectacular Sunday charge up the leaderboard. His eagle on No. 17 catapulted him into the lead, and when third-round co-leaders Jordan Spieth ($9,700; +3000) and Xander Shauffele both found the water on that same hole, Koepka was able to hold on for a one-shot win over Schauffele and Kyoung-Hoon Lee ($7,500; +12500).

This week, the PGA TOUR heads back to California and trades in desert scenery for more sweeping oceanscapes at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The tournament is usually known for drawing some of the biggest celebrities to an event, but this season that won’t be the case since the Pro-Am portion of the event will not be held due to COVID-19 concerns. Usually, this event uses three courses and a cut after 54 holes to accommodate the extra amateur celebrities, but this year there will be a more typical 36-hole cut following each player teeing it up for one round at Pebble Beach Golf Links and one round at Spyglass Hill Golf Course before playing the final two rounds on Pebble Beach, which is one of the most recognizable venues on the early part of the schedule each year.

The course is located just south of Monterey Bay, Calif., and has hosted this event since 1947. Entertainer Bing Crosby actually started this event in the area back in 1937, and his name was attached to it until 1986, when AT&T took over as the corporate sponsor. The course is known as the No. 1 public golf course in America and plays as a par 72. The alternate course for the first two rounds this year will be Spyglass Hill, which is located on the same peninsula as Pebble Beach but changes the views to include more ccean and less of Carmel Bay. Both of these courses are also regularly featured in video games, so golf fans are sure to recognize many of the holes in play this week.

The field will be highlighted by the 2021 debut of Dustin Johnson ($12,000; +400) in the continental United States. He did play in the Sentry Tournament of Champions early in January and teed it up last week on the European Tour, where he won the Saudi International over Tony Finau and Justin Rose. Johnson has won twice at Pebble Beach, but that’s not many wins as Phil Mickelson ($8,600; +6600), who has won this event five times in his career. Spieth is also a previous winner on this track, and he’ll be looking to build off some positive momentum from a sizzling Saturday at TPC Scottsdale last week, although it was followed by a Sunday fade that saw him sink to a T4.

Last season, it was Nick Taylor ($7,600; +13000), who claimed the win at Pebble Beach by four strokes over Kevin Streelman ($8,900; +5500), who finished solo second. Mickelson was in the final group but faded to solo-third with a two-over Sunday. The rest of the top five included Jason Day ($9,500; +3000) in fourth and a four-way tie for fifth between Maverick McNealy ($7,600; +12500), Charl Schwartzel, Daniel Berger ($10,100; +2000) and Matt Jones ($8,100; +8000).

Johnson is the heavy betting favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, with no other player under +2000 except for Patrick Cantlay ($11,300; +1000). Like DJ, Paul Casey ($10,400; +2000) is also coming off some strong European Tour results after winning the Omega Dubai Desert Classic two weeks ago and finishing T12 at the Saudi International.
