Thursday night NHL DFS on DraftKings looks to have a lot of potential routes, with a mix of pricing tiers and several good matchups to take advantage of. The Oilers have a good chance to continue their strong play in Vancouver, while the Flames will likely become the newest popular team due to their matchup against the Senators. As with most Thursdays so far this season there’s a pretty full schedule of games, so the focus is once again on stacking as we get ready for lock at 7:00 p.m. ET on DraftKings.

Edmonton Oilers
Connor McDavid ($9,000), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ($7,400), Jesse Puljujarvi ($5,700)
Boston Bruins
Patrice Bergeron ($8,100), David Pastrnak ($8,900), Brad Marchand ($7,500)
Calgary Flames
Elias Lindholm ($6,100), Matthew Tkachuk ($6,700), Andrew Mangiapane ($4,800)
The Oilers have gotten a lot more expensive lately, but it’s for good reason as they continue to excel in both good and bad matchups. Adding Puljujarvi to the top line has helped McDavid at even strength this season, and the results have showed as he leads the NHL in points. The Bruins are actually significantly more expensive than the Oilers, and they actually could belong in the contrarian stack section today too as it’s fairly unlikely the ownership will be too high with these prices. The Bruins have one of the best first lines in the NHL, however, and they have slate-breaking potential any time they’re on the schedule. The Flames should be the most popular of these three teams, getting to face the Senators, and the Lindholm-Tkachuk-Mangiapane line has been Calgary’s go-to spot in DFS this season. The Senators provide as little defensive resistance as any team in hockey, so the chalk makes plenty of sense.

The Devils have dealt with a COVID-depleted roster for much of this season, but they’re mostly healthy now and the pricing has yet to catch up. Ownership was extremely high for their last game (also against the Sabres) and Hischier in particular is dramatically underpriced at $3,400. This could be a popular spot again tonight, and it’s easy to see why. The Canadiens are in a decent spot too against Winnipeg, and their third line looks like the best route considering how much cheaper it is than their first and second lines. There’s plenty of talent here, and the cost will make it easier to fit some of the aforementioned expensive players. The Blue Jackets scored five goals in Tuesday’s loss to the Blackhawks, and they’ll benefit from an even better situation against the Blackhawks tonight with Malcolm Subban starting in goal. The Texier line didn’t do much even with the high team output last game, so the ownership should be in check here too without the recency bias to drive it up.

Finding a contrarian stack shouldn’t be too difficult tonight on this large slate, but the Hurricanes, Panthers, and Blackhawks are all viable options that shouldn’t get much attention. The Hurricanes are in the midst of a long stretch of head-to-heads against the Lightning, and while they’ve dropped two straight, the prices seem to have come down as a result. Getting Aho at $5,600 is a bargain, but with so many underpriced players on other teams the ownership should be extremely low too. The Panthers and Blackhawks will be a bit more popular than Carolina, but they have two of the most dynamic first lines in the NHL and are worthy contrarian options. As always, the Panthers’ power play stack is a viable alternative, and Jonathan Huberdeau ($5,900) and Patric Hornqvist ($6,200) still have reasonable prices.
