Tennis is back! What better way to ring in the new season than with some late-night, early-morning DFS. With several tournaments going on across the world, we take a look at options to consider for your fantasy tennis rosters on DraftKings.

High-priced Options
Matteo Berrettini ($11,300)
The hammer has the most lopsided matchup here, playing the World No. 443. Due to the current state of the world, the tournaments have had a difficult time getting entrants for tournaments, so this is just about the worst player competing in a main draw match on the ATP Tour. He only elevated to the ATP Challenger level a handful of times last season and got rolled over in the qualifying draws of those matches. It doesn’t matter if Berrettini comes out rusty here, Ergi Kirkin ($4,200) is not going to be able to handle the power; he’s never seen anything like a top-10 player before. This is the highest chance of a clean 6-0 set you’re going to find, so it’s worth every penny.
Alex de Minaur ($11,000)
We’re going to stick on the men’s side for the high-priced options, as the women’s draw in Abu Dhabi is far more competitive. de Minaur has another prime matchup, facing Malek Jaziri ($4,400), who is way past his prime at 36 and hardly ever competes in main-draw matches anymore. He actually has had a losing record in each of the past two seasons, which you don’t often see. de Minaur should toy around with him here, showcasing his top-line speed.
Also Consider: Jan-Lennard Struff ($9,900)
Value Flex Options
Bernarda Pera ($6,800)
Pera comes off a hard-fought, impressive victory over one of the best players in the world in Donna Vekic and enters, essentially a coin-flip match against Sara Sorribes Tormo ($7,900), who does her best work on the red clay. It’s not always the most fruitful endeavor to take a side in a coin flip match in DFS because you won’t get the upside of a blowout, but I do think she’s a fantastic lineup filler as a player who will grind out a win here against SST. Pera was rolling before the shutdown last year but struggled during the restart, so she’s looking to get off on the right foot this time around. She’s certainly played the part so far.
Nicola Kuhn ($6,500)
Kuhn is one of the most talented young players on tour that you never hear about because his results have been awfully inconsistent. He has lost eight of his last nine matches dating back to last season (yikes!) but I think he will seize the rare chance in front of him to be in a main draw match. His overall record is a pro is so-so, but he actually holds two main-draw wins, including one on clay over a very skilled clay player in Frederico Delbonis. He pushed Roberto Carballes-Baena in the second round of that tournament, and in one of his other main draw appearances, he took a set off Mischa Zverev in Miami and had to retire in the third. He tends to play well when he has a chance to showcase his talent, and with a very mediocre opponent, he has a great chance to win at a low price.
Also Consider: Paula Badosa ($6,700)
