Forwards

Studs

Pedro Neto ($10,400)

In the discernible absence of Raul Jimenez ($8,500) after that nasty collision, Neto has stood up to lead Wolves in the final third. He has scored four goals this season on 37 shots taken, which isn’t terrific. However, it indicates how often Neto takes on the final shot in an offensive phase. He has also chipped in with three assists this season.

Values

Gabriel Jesus ($6,800)

Manchester City has missed a functioning front two for almost the entirety of this season. Manager Pep Guardiola will now be pleased to have Jesus back after injury, while Sergio Aguero ($5,500) remains out. He was brought on from the bench in a 5-0 win against West Brom, which is a good indicator that he will be brought into the starting XI for this game considering the quick turnaround.

Others to consider: Riyad Mahrez ($9,500)

Midfielders

Studs

Raheem Sterling ($9,800)

Sterling is second on Manchester City in the three key offensive metrics: goals scored (6), assists (4) and shots taken (38). He has averaged 11.2 DKFP per game. With Kevin De Bruyne (11,400) unavailable with a thigh injury, Sterling might occupy the central strike role or could even move wider to partner Jesus up front.

Values

Wilfried Zaha ($9,000)

Crystal Palace doesn’t score a lot of goals, that’s just how the team plays soccer. Crystal Palace has 24 goals in 20 games, a rate of just over one goal per game. Zaha has scored 37.5% of his club’s goals this season, comfortably leading Crystal Palace in goals (9) and shots taken (41). He is also averaging an impressive 14.1 DKFP per game.

Others to consider: Ilkay Gundogan ($8,600)

Defenders

Studs

Joao Cancelo ($6,400)

Usually, Cancelo is all over the pitch for Manchester City. He routinely presses forward down the right flank to take shots himself and even chip in with assists (he has two this season). Defensively, he is solid as a center-back. He is leading his club in interceptions (24) and is second in successful tackles (32). These attributes don’t really translate into fantasy points but it’s indicative of his importance to Manchester City.

Values

Nelson Semedo ($5,100)

Wolves has been exceptional at the back this season, maintaining the preferred methodical approach to soccer. Wolves has obviously lacked goals (just 21 scored so far), but the team has also conceded just 29. Semedo can also act as a provider for Wolves, often chipping in deliveries into the six-yard box. He has averaged 7.3 DKFP per game, steady for a defender.

Goalkeepers

Ederson ($5,900)

Ederson is leading the EPL in clean sheets (11). It’s not surprising considering the ease with which Manchester City has blown past bottom-half opponents this season. Sheffield United is at the bottom of that list, having scored just 12 goals this season. At home, it’s extremely likely that Ederson adds to his impressive tally of clean sheets.

Others to consider: Rui Patricio ($4,800)
