Manchester City is the latest team to top the Premier League table after the midweek slate of games which saw a shock defeat for Manchester United at home to the basement side Sheffield United. Liverpool are back in the title race after winning its first EPL game in six. Just four points separate the top four sides ahead of this weekend’s slate of fixtures. Here are some soccer bets that stand out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook for the upcoming English Premier League (EPL) games.

Manchester City v Sheffield United

Manchester City to win both halves (+104)

For the second time in four days, basement side Sheffield United face the league leaders away from home. In the first matchup, they beat Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford to give their hopes of staying in the EPL a much-needed shot in the arm. Now they travel to the Etihad with confidence sky high, but they face a Manchester City team who has rediscovered their scoring form. Missing midfielder Kevin de Bruyne was not a problem as they found the net five times at West Brom when Ilkay Gundogan stepped up to score twice. The German international is now the club’s leading scorer and he will be expected to pull the strings for Pep Guardiola’s side who will not be taking the Blades for granted.

West Brom v Fulham

Under 2.5 total goals (-139)

If West Brom and Fulham are to stay in the Premier League, this is a game both will target for a win. West Brom enter this matchup looking to bounce back from their 5-0 drubbing at home by Manchester City on Wednesday night, while Fulham collected what could be a valuable point in a goalless draw at Brighton. A win for Scott Parker’s Fulham side, who has played a game fewer than those teams around them at the wrong end of the standings, will open up a five-point gap on their opponents. Fulham are the draw specialists this season with six of their last eight contests ending all square. With so much at stake, this has all the ingredients of being a low-scoring game where one goal might be enough to secure the biggest win of the season for whichever team gets the victory.

Arsenal v Manchester United

Tie at HT (+120)

Manchester United squandered the chance to go back to the top of the table when they suffered a shock defeat at home to Sheffield United. So a trip to Arsenal is a very tricky fixture for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. A run of five wins and a draw from their last six games has turned Arsenal’s fortunes around in recent weeks and they host this contest ninth in the standings. Arsenal has had the upper hand in recent seasons and they are unbeaten in the last five meetings with United. However, a positive omen for United is their form away from Old Trafford. Of the 40 points United has won this campaign, 26 have come on the road thanks to seven wins when they have conceded the opening goal.

Chelsea v Burnley

Under 2.5 total goals (+114)

Thomas Tuchel started his tenure in charge of Chelsea with a dull 0-0 draw at home to Wolves on Wednesday. The German was appointed Frank Lampard’s replacement earlier this week and while Tuchel has not had long to work on tactics with his players, he will have seen enough from his first game to come up with a game plan he thinks will be good enough to beat Burnley. The visitors to Stamford Bridge won’t be pushovers after winning back-to-back league games for the first time this season after coming from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 Wednesday. It was the 11th time in Burnley’s 19 league contests in which the outcome was decided by a single goal. The last seven meetings between the two sides have produced three or more goals but that could end in a potential cagey encounter as Tuchel eases his way into his new job at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham v Liverpool

Liverpool to win and both teams to score (+235)

Liverpool’s 3-1 win at Tottenham was a message to the rest of the league that the Reds are not prepared to relinquish their title just yet. It ended a frustrating spell for the champions which saw them take just three points from their last five games. The manner in which they took care of business against Tottenham was impressive, especially away from home. West Ham has been one of the surprise packages of this campaign and a win at the London Stadium will see them climb above their opponents into fourth spot. Both teams have scored in three of the last four meetings with each other and that could well land this time. And if Liverpool can take their chances like they did against Tottenham, then their second visit to the capital in four days should result in a second successive win.
