It’s Thursday, which means we’ve got a short, yet action-packed four-game NBA slate to watch. With a marquee matchup like Lakers-Bucks on the card, and the red-hot Warriors playing, let’s survey for some player props, totals and sides to take on DraftKings Sportsbook. You can follow me on Twitter (@KennyDucey) for any late adds.

Here’s what jumps out to me on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons

Pistons +9.5 (-110)

Editor’s Note: Lakers PF/C Anthony Davis (quad) has been ruled out tonight vs. the Pistons.

The Lakers’ incredible run has slowed of late. After covering in six of seven games, the Lakers have now split their last two contest straight up — failing to cover in both — and will now head into the second night of their first back-to-back in two weeks. This could be the night AD or LeBron finally rest, and if that happens, the Pistons should be set up perfectly for an upset. Delon Wright and Jerami Grant have emerged as legitimate weapons for Detroit over their past two games, and while Detroit’s defense has wilted a bit of late, the Lakers rank 20th in offensive efficiency over the past three games. This is a prime spot to take the dog.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Houston Rockets:

Rockets -4.5 (-110)

I don’t know if you’ve watched any of the Trail Blazers lately, but they look tired. Without C.J. McCollum, more has been asked of Damian Lillard. Without Jusuf Nurkic, Enes Kanter and Carmelo Anthony have had a lot of mileage put on them. Derrick Jones Jr. limped off in their last game with a quad issue and couldn’t finish the contest. Now, they’re going to be missing Robert Covington for this game due to a concussion. The Rockets, meanwhile, are beginning to click. Victor Oladipo and John Wall are working incredibly well with one another, and the defense has quietly put together one hell of a run over the past four games. This line will continue to move towards Houston, get in while you can.

Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns

Suns ML (-129)

Editor’s Note: Suns SG Devin Booker (hamstring) has been ruled out for tonight’s game vs. the Warriors.

The Warriors’ impenetrable defense has taken a hit of late, giving up 119.0 points per 100 possessions against the Knicks and 122.1 against the Jazz. Golden State leveled out those performances a bit against the Timberwolves, but that offense is down in the dumps without Karl Anthony-Towns. The defense should succumb to a peaking Suns offense, which could be getting Devin Booker back for the first time in two games. Golden State is allowing a whopping 24 points per game to shooting guards, good for sixth-worst in the NBA, so he should be primed for a big outing, should he play.
