Another two LPL games are scheduled for Tuesday with FunPlus Phoenix and EDward Gaming in action. We break down DraftKings’ League of Legends slate with some suggestions for roster construction.

Captain
Lwx ($11,400)
With due respect to Viper ($11,700 CP), I’m not sure why he is the most expensive player on this slate — even though he has started this season well. Lwx has been in tremendous killing form this season, splitting open turrets in the bottom lane with his kill penetration. He has averaged 5.2 kills, 2.6 assists and just 1.2 deaths with a KDA of 6.5. Those returns should probably beckon a higher price.

Top
Nuguri ($6,200)
There is always a worry about LCK players adjusting to the quicker pace of the LPL in the lanes. Nuguri has been found out a bit in that respect. He has managed just 1.2 kills and 2.4 deaths in the five maps he has played so far. However, he will quickly adjust to that speed. Besides, he has been averaging 4.6 assists per game.
Others to consider: Flandre ($6,400)
Jungler
Haro ($6,400)
There are two justifiable reasons for picking Haro on this slate. One, there is always one position you need to accept a slightly weaker player. Often, jungler is that position because there is a lower dependence, from a fantasy standpoint. Two, to hedge against FunPlus Phoenix on this slate. He is leading Rogue Warriors in kills this season, with 3.14 per map.

Mid
Doinb ($7,600)
Compared to his proficiency in the spring and summer of 2020, Doinb has made an atypically quiet start to this campaign. Usually averaging over four kills per map, Doinb has currently managed just 1.4 kills per game. Even though he has six assists, his kill participation is just 7.4. These offensive numbers will surely increase drastically as this season progresses.
Others to consider: Scout ($7,400)
ADC
Viper ($7,800)
This is the better position for Viper on this slate. LGD Gaming isn’t a bad team, but Viper has started with aplomb, which means his confidence is high. He is comfortably leading his team in kills with four per map. Even though the sample size is small, his creep score (358) is fourth in the LPL. Over six maps, he has a KDA of 3.83, which is solid for a bot-laner.
Others to consider: kelin ($7,000)
Support
Crisp ($5,600)
A price of $5,600 is slightly more than the desired spending for a support player. In this case, I suspect the bottom lane could be the area of sheer destruction considering Lwx’s form. That could give Crisp a few additional assists if the AD Carry-Support combination can port into and out of fights efficiently.
Team
FunPlus Phoenix ($5,200)
EDward Gaming ($5,400) is expected to win more easily than FunPlus Phoenix, which I’m not in agreement with. LGD Gaming has the depth to challenge even a resurgent EDward Gaming. FunPlus Phoenix, after splitting the first two series, will be keen to return to the top half of the table.
