With the LCK on its weekly break, DraftKings has just a two-game slate on Monday from the LPL. We take a look at some players you could consider for your DraftKings roster.
Set your DraftKings lineup here: LPL $50K Shock Blast [$10K to 1st]
Captain
rat ($11,700)
After a topsy-turvy 2020, eStar has started the new year in solid fashion, winning three of the five maps so far. Kill output has been led by rat in the bottom lane. So far, he has a kill participation of 10 (4.4 kills and 5.6 assists per map). He even has a team-leading KDA of 5.56 and creep score of 307.
Others to consider: y4 ($11,100)
Top
LangX ($6,000)
Victory Five has made several roster changes in the offseason. However, LangX’s consistency in the top lane will be one of the team’s assets this season. He has managed 1.33 kills and 4.5 assists per game this season so far. Victory Five will continue to suffer the ignominy of inconsistency in the LPL, but LangX will certainly be a key fantasy inclusion.
Others to consider: zs ($6,400)
Jungler
Weiwei ($6,800)
In trying to judge the risk-reward relationship between H4cker ($7,200) and Weiwei, you might find that an exorbitant price for a jungler might simply not make sense here. Weiwei, at a lower price point, has produced steady results in the jungle, including 2 kills and a high 5.83 assists per map too.
Others to consider: H4cker ($7,200)
Mid
irma ($7,600)
One of eStar’s biggest losses after the spring of 2020 was in the middle and bottom lane, with the departure of Cryin and Wink. After experimenting with several players, eStar seems to be settled with irma for this year’s spring split in the middle. He has averaged 3.8 kills, 2 deaths and 6.4 assists with a KDA of 5.1. Solid returns, by any measure.
Others to consider: Mole ($7,200)
ADC
y4 ($7,400)
On a two-game slate in League of Legends, it’s fairly safe to assume that you wouldn’t have to sacrifice on price for too many positions. That allows you to draft players like y4 without worrying about your average salary remaining. y4 has continued to dominate teams with his killing proficiency this season, averaging a stunning 4.2 kills and 5 assists with just 1.4 deaths per map.
Others to consider: Aiming ($7,200)
Support
Ppgod ($5,400)
The difference of $400 between Ppgod and ShiauC ($5,800) is the only reason I’ve gone for the former. This will allow you to draft a better team in the next position. Ppgod has blown hot and cold this season, but he has managed 7 assists per game this season with a KDA of 3.29.
Team
Victory Five ($5,000)
There is always a high chance of an upset in the LPL, but there are two clear favorites on this slate: VictoryFive and eStar ($5,200). VictoryFive, though, has shown a propensity to win games with sheer aggression in the lanes, which will be a factor against a slightly passive team in Bilibili Gaming.
