The champions of the world Damwon Gaming will open its campaign on Friday. Three other games from the LPL and the LCK are also scheduled. Here is a look at some suggestions for roster construction for DraftKings’ League of Legends slate.

Captain
JackeyLove ($11,700)
Rather predictably, JackeyLove returned to form after a terrible opening game to begin the spring split. Even though Top Esports lost for the second successive time, JackeyLove was prolific in the bottom lane. He now has season averages of 4.4 kills, 3.2 deaths and 5.4 assists. That kill participation rate will surely climb over 10 soon.
Others to consider: Knight ($11,700)
Top
Rascal ($6,400)
Rascal used Camille as his champion to rack up the kills in Gen.G’s opening win against KT Rolster on Wednesday. He had 14 kills and 12 assists with just two deaths in an astounding individual performance. Such returns for a top laner are very rare in any professional league in the world. Those 26 kills topped Gen.G in kill participation.
Others to consider: zs ($5,800)
Jungler
H4cker ($6,400)
You have options in this position. There is Top Esports’ Karsa ($6,800), who is an integral part of his team’s offensive production. Gen.G’s Clid ($7,000) is a reliable choice too. However, eStar’s new acquisition H4cker is likely to be a value-for-money selection. He had an average of 2.67 kills, 2 deaths and 3.67 assists in eStar’s opening 2-1 loss.
Others to consider: Karsa ($6,800)
Mid
Knight ($7,800)
I just wouldn’t leave out Knight in most slates. Top Esports has quite unfathomably lost both of its games to open the split, which will leave Knight and JackeyLove in charge of producing more kills. Neither of them will back down from their preferred aggressive template in the lanes. Knight is averaging 3.8 kills with 5.4 assists per game in the five maps so far.
Others to consider: ShowMaker ($7,200)
ADC
Ruler ($7,600)
Ruler was also in unstoppable form to open the new year. He had 7 kills and 5 assists per map in the opener, with a KDA of 12. He even had a team-leading creep score of 348.5 (10.52 per minute). This momentum and confidence will hold him in good stead in the bottom lane even if he is killed a few times in the search for more penetration.
Others to consider: Ghost ($7,400)
Support
BeryL ($5,400)
T1 is not the ideal team for world champions Damwon Gaming to open a new spring split. However, there is enough depth right through that Damwon roster to sustain against any LCK team. BeryL provides enough to his AD Carry to rack up assists while also maintaining a lower death rate.
Team
eStar ($4,600)
If your roster is filled exactly like above, you will be left with just $4,700 to complete your team. That fits nicely because I don’t see eStar as pushovers in this contest against Rogue Warriors. On paper, eStar is the obvious underdog. However, with a steady roster, this game could go to a decisive third map.
