The Warriors pulled off one of the most thrilling comebacks of the season to date, taking down the mighty Clippers on Friday night, and are back at it on Sunday trying to keep the momentum going against Toronto. With hot shooters like Steph Curry and Fred VanVleet available, we’ll dig into which of those guys you want to play, and the best ways to fit them in on this slate.

Captain
Steph Curry ($18,000 CP)
The price tag on Curry today is ridiculous, but it’s probably worth it considering given that he’s far and away the best option on this slate. Still, paying up for him is kind of hard to justify considering it’ll put you in a real bind constructing the rest of your lineup. Toronto is allowing a tasty 3.3 threes per game to opposing point guards, though I will admit it’s not the softest matchup in the world position-wise. Still, Toronto is allowing over 111 points per 100 possessions, good for 11th-worst in the NBA, so there will be plenty of points to come by for Golden State.
Pascal Siakam ($14,700 CP)
If you want a rock-steady option, you can feel free to pay up for Fred VanVleet ($15,600 CPT), but I like saving a little money with the more inconsistent, yet uber-talented Siakam. Golden State is allowing the seventh-most points per game to opposing power forwards, making this an above-average option, and Siakam has gone for roughly 51 points in each of his past two outings. After a rough patch this season where he was benched for disciplinary reasons, Siakam seems to be a steady piece of this Raptors rotation once again.
Fades
Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,800)
The price keeps on dropping on Oubre, and for good reason. He’s been an absolute disaster for Golden State, a nightmare. He’s failing to pick up Steve Kerr’s offense and Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have looked visibly frustrated at times with his incorrect positioning. What’s worse, he simply isn’t able to shoot the basketball, hitting just six of 45 3-pointers this year. There are no redeeming qualities to Oubre right now, on offense or defense, and I once again expect the Warriors to score in spite of him, rather than because of him.

Value FLEX Options
James Wiseman ($5,400)
Toronto has really struggled to fill the void left by Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol, relying on Aron Baynes to defend opposing centers this season to mixed results. Sure, the season-long numbers look great, but the Raptors have faced quite a number of centers with no offensive game whatsoever, and still have gotten shredded for double-doubles when faced with real competition down there. Wiseman is always worth a look considering how much the Warriors seem to force-feed him, wanting to get their prized draft pick cooking. With so many shots from deep, the rebounds are always going to be there, and the Raptors are allowing a high 16.4 rebounds per game to opposing centers.
Norm Powell ($6,000)
Powell has looked like Playoff Powell of late, single-handedly leading the Raptors out of a hole against the Kings and scoring 30 DKFP last time out. The Raptors have struggled mightily to get going on offense in the early going, so no amount of fire on that end can be ignored, and I expect them to continue to go to Powell, who’s seen an average of 26.5 minutes over the past two.
Eric Paschall ($5,600)
Paschall is a skilled offensive player and always gets pretty consistent run, and he might be the surest thing on this slate from a value perspective. The guy seems to always be right around 20 points every time out, and considering the issues Toronto has had rebounding, I think he should be in for another stat-happy night here. He’s a great option in cash games.
The Outcome
The margin here should be razor-thin, and given some of the defensive liabilities both teams have on both sides I think we get rather high-scoring, close game. Steph should get what he wants for the most part, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game in his hands in the final seconds.
Final Score: Warriors 118, Raptors 116
