Sunday features a nine-game slate without weather concerns once again, making this an easy slate to build your lineups in. After some of the big names that are featured at starting pitcher like Shane Bieber ($11,000), Jacob deGrom ($10,500) and Aaron Nola ($10,300), were presented with numerous options to stack against. I’ll feature four of my favorites here and hopefully help bring you back some of that green.
As always, you can reach me on the ol’ Twitter machine @SBuchanan24.

1. Boston Red Sox
The Blue Jays traded for a couple of staters at the trade deadline, one of them being Robbie Ray ($6,600). I’m not sure what the thought process was here, as Ray was struggling in the NL West, which is home to some of the best pitcher-friendly ballparks in the league. Now he moves to the AL East, where he’ll frequently have to pitch in spots like Fenway Park. Amongst pitchers with at least 30 innings thrown, Ray has the worst FIP in the league at 7.24, the second-worst HR/9 at 2.61 and the highest hard-hit rate allowed at 52%. I mean, maybe a change of scenery will do him good? Who knows. Until then, I’ll happily stack the Red Sox and any other team he faces.
Players to Consider
Xander Bogaerts ($5,100)
J.D. Martinez ($5,100)
Christian Vazquez ($4,400)
Michael Chavis ($3,900)Alex Verdugo ($4,500)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Verdugo is not in the lineup for today’s game vs. the Blue Jays.
2. Detroit Tigers
People keep ignoring the fact that the Tigers are a REALLY good hitting offense against lefties. If you didn’t know, coming into this game, they boast a .360 wOBA (4th) a .191 ISO (11th) and a 127 wRC+ (5th). This afternoon, they’ll be facing Rich Hill ($7,000) who through four starts had a 4.59 FIP, a 14.7% BB% and just a 14.7% K%. Hill hasn’t been going deep into games either, which could become an issue because the Twins bullpen has been very good. However, if Hill isn’t going deep into this game, it would likely mean because the Tigers got to him early. With that in mind, I think the Tigers are one of the better stacks on this slate.
Players to Consider
Miguel Cabrera ($3,300)
Jeimer Candelario ($3,700)
Jonathan Schoop ($4,300)
Victor Reyes ($3,400)Austin Romine ($3,400)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Romine is not in the lineup for today’s game vs. the Twins.
3. Minnesota Twins
I really want Casey Mize ($5,600) to do well in the majors but thus far, it hasn’t happened. He’s made three starts thus far and has a 6.61 FIP, a 2.53 HR/9 and hasn’t made it through 4.1 innings. He made it through his last start against the Twins with only two runs allowed but his 9.81 FIP says it should have been a lot worse. Mize is really struggling against righties, who have tagged him with a .491 wOBA and a 7.99 FIP. Going against a very right-handed heavy offense, who also have Josh Donaldson ($3,900) in the mix is not going to be easy. I really like the Twins in this spot and think they’re slowly but surely coming around offensively.
Players to Consider
Nelson Cruz ($5,800)
Miguel Sano ($5,100)Josh Donaldson ($3,900)
Eddie Rosario ($4,100)Byron Buxton ($3,300)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Cruz, Donaldson and Buxton are not in the lineup for today’s game vs. the Tigers.

4. Washington Nationals
Josh Tomlin ($6,000) is taking the hill for the Braves and as you can imagine, it hasn’t exactly been a great run for him thus far. Righties have been his biggest issue, allowing a .368 wOBA with a 4.69 FIP and three of his total four home runs. but Tomlin has really struggled since being stretched out as a starter with a .435 wOBA and a 7.38 FIP. I think they can jump on him early in this one and quickly rack up some fantasy points, making this a stack well worth it.
Players to Consider
Trea Turner ($5,700)
Luis Garcia ($3,100)
Adam Eaton ($3,600)Howie Kendrick ($4,100)Michael Taylor ($2,300)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Kendrick and Taylor are not in the lineup for today’s game vs. the Braves.
