Mad Lions need to win after slipping again while Liquid and SuperMassive Esports look to continue their unbeaten runs at Worlds. With plenty at stake in Monday’s games from the play-in stage, we break down the impact those results might have and the players to consider for DraftKings’ LoL slate.

Captain
Tactical ($11,100)
Of the four teams on this slate, Mad Lions and Liquid are the obvious teams to stack from. Here’s the difference between these teams: Mad Lions has an explosive, aggressive style of play while Liquid is more methodical and concerted. Occasionally, at an event like the Worlds, the slower nature has a higher chance of guaranteed results. And Tactical is also less expensive than other choices from Mad Lions. Just for these reasons, Tactical would be my Captain.
Top
Impact ($6,400)
Save, save, save. That’s usually the League of Legends fantasy motto for top laner. That should be the case here too. Instead of the costlier pick in Orome ($6,800), pick the cheaper alternative to increase your average salary remaining. Also, Impact has a stunning KDA of 24 because he has been killed just once in this competition.
Others to consider: Orome ($6,800)
Jungler
Broxah ($6,800)
It’s not yet time to move to Mad Lions on your roster. Jungler is another important category because it allows you to improve your average salary remaining. Broxah has 9 kills and 9 assists so far in two games at this Worlds event. He has also been killed just once. That defensive efficiency has earned him a KDA of 18.
Others to consider: KaKao ($6,600)
Mid
Humanoid ($7,600)
Now is a good time to start stacking from Mad Lions. Humanoid isn’t as expensive as he probably should be and that’s because he hasn’t quite hit his best form yet. In this tournament so far, Humanoid has 2.67 kills, 4 deaths and 4.33 assists per game. With a 1-2 record so far in this tournament, Mad Lions is desperate for a win.
Others to consider: Jensen ($7,400)
ADC
Carzzy ($7,800)
Here is the value you will derive from some shrewd selections in the preceding categories. If you opt for Carzzy as your Captain, you might not have the budget remaining to draft another quality mid laner. This way, you are able to draft both Carzzy and Tactical ($7,400). Carzzy has a combined KDA of 3/3/5 in this tournament so far.
Others to consider: Zeitnot ($7,000)
Support
SnowFlower ($5,200)
This is a bit of a hedging play. SuperMassive Esports has started this tournament in sprightly fashion, which includes a win against Mad Lions. SnowFlower has played a massive part in that success. He has 18 assists in just two maps along with two kills and just one death.
Team
Team Liquid ($5,200)
Liquid has won both games to start this event. That will inspire the roster with confidence because it backs up a fantastic summer split in the NA LCS. SuperMassive Esports also has two wins in two maps. However, on paper, there is a discernible difference in the skill level of both these rosters. That is reason enough to back Liquid.
