Happy Tuesday! We’ve got a full 15-game MLB slate — all taking place in the evening — meaning there are plenty of bets tonight to sort through. I’ve picked out three of my favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Editor’s Note: Tonight’s game between the Giants and the Mariners has been postponed due to poor air quality.

New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Mets ML (-127)
The hottest offense in baseball is no longer the Atlanta Braves. It’s the New York Mets! Their 148 wRC+ over the past two weeks has vaulted them right back into playoff contention, and now they get to tee-off on Jake Arrieta. Opponents are enjoying a .310 expected batting average this season off of the RHP, which sits at the bottom of the league. With the always shaky Rick Porcello on the mound for New York, you may also want to take a look at the Over 10.5, but, without Rhys Hoskins, this already-middling Phillies lineup does not scare me a whole lot. New York actually opened as the underdog here before the money came in on them hard, so be sure to get on this one before it moves further out of your grasp.
Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees
Yankees F5 -0.5 (-132)
This seems like such a square play, but in one corner you have one of the hottest young pitchers in the game in Deivi Garcia and a team with World Series talent that’s won four games in a row and is welcoming back Giancarlo Stanton and Giovanny Urshela. In the other corner, you have Taijuan Walker. You may be tempted to go contrarian here, but Garcia has been lights out and this team is starting to click. Take this first five spread (also known as the three-way line) to bet on Garcia and this revamped lineup.
San Francisco Giants vs. Seattle Mariners:
Giants ML (-139)
What would best bets be without a pick on the late slate? We know the Giants can hit, as they are third — behind only the Mets and Braves — in wRC+ over the past two weeks. What about the guy on the mound? Tyler Anderson’s larger body of work suggests to me that he is, at worst, an average pitcher, and so far this year he has proven to be decently effective for San Fran. He’s had a couple blowups, but he’s also spun a couple gems. One of which came just six days ago against these same Mariners, against whom he allowed just three hits in six shutout innings. Anderson’s ability to eat innings and keep things relatively calm, coupled with his recent success against Seattle, encourages me to play the Giants here. San Francisco should have no issues hitting the unspectacular Ljay Newsome and an ineffective Mariners bullpen.
