Stewart Cink earned his first PGA TOUR victory since 2009 at the first event of the 2020-21 season, the Safeway Open. Cink had just one bogey on Sunday en route to carding a final-round 65. Cink finished the week at 21-under-par and two strokes ahead of runner-up Harry Higgs.

The PGA TOUR moves East to Winged Foot for the U.S. Open, rescheduled from June due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gary Woodland ($7,800) took home the U.S. Open title in 2019 at Pebble Beach by three strokes over Brooks Koepka, who is not in this year’s field. Scottie Scheffler is also not in the field after testing positive for COVID-19. FedEx Cup champion Dustin Johnson ($11,500) and Tiger Woods ($8,600) will both be in the 144-golfer field, with the top 60 and ties making the cut after 36 holes.
