Round 4 Recap — Sunday

Stewart Cink wins the Safeway Open

Cink ($6,300; 130.5 DKFP) came into Sunday’s round at the Safeway Open having not won a PGA Tour event since all the way back in 2009. Still, to be fair, if you’re going to have an 11-year drought, do it after winning The Open Championship, right? Anyway, Cink dug into his veteran resolve this afternoon, playing an almost perfect round of golf to pick up his seventh-career victory. In fact, the 47-year-old’s lone bogey of the day came on the 17th hole — which brought Harry Higgs ($7,200; 127.0 DKFP) within a stroke — but Cink immediately followed up the mistake with a birdie on the 18th. He’d eventually win with a final score of 21-under.— Garion Thorne

Round 3 Recap — Saturday

Brian Stuard, James Hahn, Cameron Percy tied for lead after third round of Safeway Open

Sunday’s final round at the Safeway Open should be an exciting one. Stuard ($6,600), Hahn ($6,000) and Percy ($6,600) are all tied for the lead at 16-under-par and eight golfers are within two shots of the lead. All three of the golfers who are currently leading were dirt cheap and none garnered much ownership in DFS: Stuard has an average ownership of approximately 1.5% and he was the most popular option of the trio. None of these golfers has much of a pedigree, so you can still get good odds on all three to win the tournament. Stuart is currently the betting favorite at +550 on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Hahn and Percy are both listed at +650.— Matt LaMarca

Sahith Theegala goes low Saturday at Safeway Open

Theegala ($6,100) posted the best score on the golf course during Saturday’s third round at the Safeway Open. He finished with an eight-under-par 64, which was good enough to vault him to 13-under-par for the tournament. That puts him in a tie for 12th place and leaves him just three shots behind the leaders. Emiliano Grillo ($9,700) and Stewart Cink ($6,300) also went low on Saturday, with both golfers finishing seven-under-par. They improved to 14-under-par for the tournament, which puts both within two shots of the lead. That said, all three guys are still considered long shots to win the tournament on DraftKings Sportsbook: Grillo is listed at +1200, Cink is +2200 and Theegala is +6600. — Matt LaMarca

Round 2 Recap — Friday

Sam Burns leads after second round of Safeway Open

Burns ($8,700) is currently sitting at 15-under-par, which gives him a two-stroke lead heading into the third round of the Safeway Open. He opened with an eight-under-par 64 on Thursday and followed that up with a seven-under-par 65 on Friday. Harry Higgs ($7,200) had the low-round on the course on Friday at 10-under-par, and he occupies second place at 13-under for the tournament. Burns was owned in approximately 11% of DraftKings lineups, while Higgs was owned at approximately 5%. Burns is now the favorite to win the tournament at +250 on DraftKings Sportsbook and Higgs has the second-shortest odds at +650. — Matt LaMarca

Sergio Garcia misses cut at Safeway Open

Garcia ($9,900) was one of the biggest names to miss the cut at the Safeway Open. The cut line ended up being five-under-par and Garcia came up just short at three-under-par. He was owned in approximately 21.25% of DraftKings tournament lineups, which made him the eighth-highest owned golfer on the slate. Other notables to miss the cut were Mark Hubbard ($8,100) and Taylor Gooch ($7,300), both of which were highly owned. Hubbard checked in with the fourth-highest average ownership in the field at approximately 27%, while Gooch ranked fifth win an approximate ownership of 22.15%. — Matt LaMarca
