Each simulation will be played out computer vs. computer via an online Madden Stream using Madden 2020 with rosters and ratings from the end of the 2019-20 season. In this format, you can enjoy watching the game stream on the DraftKings YouTube channel, the DK Live app (download here) or right here in this post.
Every Wednesday on the Madden stream the games are impacted by some wild weather, and this week there are more fun matchups lined up for the wind, snow and rain. The featured slate starts at 6 p.m. ET with the Saints and Eagles meeting in rainy virtual Philadelphia. The Saints’ offense has struggled in weather games, but they’ll look to change that in this contest. There’s more rain on the way in the 8 p.m. ET matchup between the Titans and Chiefs, and we close out the day with a snow game on Madden After Dark as the 49ers head to virtual Buffalo to take on the Bills.
There are some intriguing fantasy options to consider from each of those six teams, and I’ve given you my favorite stud and value play for each roster spot on this slate below. For more, you can always check out the Madden info page for all the data on player ratings, special abilities and what you can look forward to in upcoming matchups.

Quarterback
Stud
Patrick Mahomes, KC vs. TEN, $7,800 — Mahomes has the most upside of any QB on this slate by a wide margin. He’s averaging 21.6 DKFP per contest while no other QB from these teams is even approaching 19 DKFP per game. Mahomes has piled up an impressive 106 touchdowns in these sims through 45 games while averaging 275 yards per contest. He had a relatively quiet game against the Eagles Monday, posting just 13.52 DKFP but had thrown for multiple TDs in 17 of his previous 19 contests. He also had multiple scores the first time he played the Titans, posting 16.6 DKFP in a sim before the quarter length was expanded to give him more time to produce. Mahomes should be able to beat the Titans’ secondary for big gains throughout this game, so look for another solid number from him as long as the game stays competitive throughout.
Other Options — Carson Wentz ($6,000)
Value
Jimmy Garoppolo, SF at BUF, $6,500 — Jimmy G doesn’t have as high a ceiling as the top options or even than the two QBs that are cheaper than him listed below. However, he is in a good matchup and is a much more reliable pick since the other plays have much more bust potential. Garoppolo threw for three scores and 245 yards against the Bills in their earlier sim meeting and finished with 21.8 DKFP. He is averaging just under 250 yards per sim and has thrown 79 touchdowns in 45 contests. He has at least 17 DKFP in three of his past four contests, and he’s a relatively safe pick to get over that number again in this contest against the Bills.
Other Option — Josh Allen ($6,100), Ryan Tannehill ($6,000)
Running Back
Stud
Tevin Coleman, SF at BUF, $6,400 — Coleman has been an absolute beast in these sims, and he gets an even heavier workload when the 49ers play in weather games. He should run wild in the snow in Buffalo. In his 45 sims so far, he has 39 touchdowns and is averaging 87 rushing yards and 16.1 receiving yards per sim. He had a down game against Dallas in his most recent contest but posted over 20 DKFP in five of his six previous games. He ran for 155 yards and a score in his first game against the Bills to post 24.5 DKFP, and I think he’s an RB play you can’t pass up on this slate.
Other Option — Alvin Kamara ($6,600) Miles Sanders ($6,100)
Value
Damien Williams, KC vs. TEN, $5,700 — Williams has been a great complement to Mahomes and the passing game and can help carry the load in some matchups. He had 115 yards and a touchdown in his most recent sim against the Eagles for 28.4 DKFP. He has produced at least 19 DKFP in 10 of his 45 contests, so there is definite upside in rolling with Williams if you can’t afford two of the elite RBs.
Other Options — Dion Lewis ($4,300)
Wide Receiver
Stud
Michael Thomas, NO at PHI, $7,300 — While the Saints’ offense hasn’t been great in weather games, Thomas always still seems to get his production. He is the only WR in all of Madden with a 99 overall rating and has scored 31 touchdowns in his 45 sims. He is averaging 4.8 catches per contest and had six for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns on his way to 23.0 DKFP against the Eagles in their previous sim. Philadelphia’s secondary hasn’t been great, and they have given up big points in the rain in the past. Whether the Saints offense goes off or not, though, Thomas is almost always a good play to pay up for due to his volume and red-zone attention.
Other Options — Tyreek Hill ($7,600), Alshon Jeffery ($5,900)
Value
Deebo Samuel, SF at BUF, $5,200 — Since Tre’Davious White will likely be trying to lock down Emmanuel Sanders ($6,200), Samuel should be set up for a busy game on the other side of the field. That scenario played out in their previous sim and Samuel beat the Bills for five catches, 68 yards, a touchdown and 18.4 DKFP. He bounced back from a quiet game against the Bears with six catches for 75 yards in his most recent sim, and he should be involved with good volume and big-play upside in this contest.
Demarcus Robinson, KC vs TEN, $3,400 — Whenever the Chiefs play, Robinson is a solid play as a flier since he comes with immense upside and has typically been involved in Kansas City’s offense. There has only been one sim all sim season that he has not had a catch, and he is averaging 3.4 catches per sim through 45 contests. He had three catches for 73 yards the first time these teams met in the first of his 24 contests with double-digit DKFP. He hit that mark against the Eagles in his most recent sim and also has a ton of upside for big plays and the potential to produce 20-plus DKFP if he also gets a touchdown.
Other Options — Sammy Watkins ($5,000), Ted Ginn Jr. ($3,500)
Tight End
Stud
Zach Ertz, PHI vs. NO, $5,300 — Ertz continues to get tons of work in almost every game for the Eagles, averaging 5.3 receptions for 64.9 yards per sim and has scored 21 touchdowns. He didn’t have a score in his most recent sim but hauled in eight passes for 106 yards and over 20 DKFP against the Chiefs. He should be very involved in the rain as Wentz looks for him more over the middle. He had six catches, 100 yards, two touchdowns and massive 31 DKFP against the Saints in their first sim and has a similar ceiling in this rematch.
Other Option — George Kittle ($5,800), Travis Kelce ($5,700)
Value
Tyler Kroft, BUF vs. SF, $3,600 — Kroft is the cheapest of the star-studded six starting TE on this slate, but he comes with some nice upside of his own as well since he has produced over 11 DKFP in three straight games and has at least four catches in six straight. Kroft is always involved to some degree since he is one of Josh Allen’s top targets, but he can sometimes struggle if the Bills’ offense stalls out. Still, he’s significantly cheaper than any other TE on the board and can be a solid option that lets you pay up in other spots.
DST
Stud
Titans DST at KC, $2,900 — Despite the tough matchup against Mahomes, the Titans’ DST is a play worth considering since they have averaged more DKFP than any other DST on this slate. They have 97 sacks in their 45 games and had one of their three DST touchdowns in their first meeting with the Chiefs. While they only have 16 takeaways, their pass rush is strong enough to make them worth considering under $3K.
Value
49ers DST at BUF, $2,800 — San Francisco’s defense is loaded with star power but they haven’t been great fantasy options since they don’t make a ton of big plays. They are still looking for their first DST touchdown but do have 19 takeaways and 79 sacks. They do a great job limiting their opponents scoring but don’t play an aggressive enough style to force a ton of turnovers. They have the best matchup on the board, though, against the Bills, and are a low-risk play in the snow in the late game.
