Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Phoenix Suns/Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz: PHX/UTA ML Parlay (-129)

I scrapped everything I had in Best Bets this morning when all the injury news broke and pivoted to this ML parlay being my strongest play of the day. Here’s where things stand — Dallas will be without Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and Dorian Finney-Smith, while OKC will sit Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel again, joined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari on the sidelines.

The Suns are likely the strongest spot, sitting at 5-0 in the bubble and hellbent on finding their way into the postseason. There will be no shortage of effort from the Phoenix side to get this game from a team down three starters and still without Sixth Man frontrunner Dennis Schroder. The only red flag here is that Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out for the Jazz, but the rest of their starters are a full go. Tough to imagine the Mavs pulling this off.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz: Tim Hardaway Jr. OVER 19.5 points (-110)

While I don’t think Dallas has what it takes to win this game, somebody has to pick up the scoring, right? THJ is averaging 15.6 PPG and the trio that’s out combines to average 58.8 PPG. I’d like to think that Hardaway will make up 4.5 extra points given the missing production. Luka, KP and DFS combined for an insane 89 points in the Mavs’ last game — over 65% of the team’s points. Hardaway faced Utah twice in the regular season, averaging 22 PPG in those contests.

Me personally, I went Denver +5. The Lakers should play their top guys, but this is more of a tune up for them — the Lakers did this on Saturday and lost to the Pacers. But after the Clippers loss to the red-hot Nets (yes, that’s a real sentence), the Nuggets are just one-game back of the No. 2 seed in the West. Denver has some motivation in this game. Disagree?
