Forwards
Studs
Willian ($10,500)
Willian scored again from the penalty spot against Watford on Saturday night. He has scored only from dead-ball situations, penalties and free kicks after the restart of the Premier League. That’s not a restriction to his talent, as it takes serious skill to be able to convert these chances into goals. He has averaged 14.1 DKFP per game, highest in this slate.
Values
Olivier Giroud ($7,900)
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has the luxury of rotating his strikers in and out between Giroud and Tammy Abraham ($7,500). Abraham may have had concerns of match fitness, which is why Giroud got the start. However, it can’t be argued that Giroud hasn’t been sharp. He scored a slick goal to open the scoring against Watford, his second since the resumption of the EPL.
Others to consider: Troy Deeney ($7,100).
Midfielders
Studs
Christian Pulisic ($8,800)
Pulisic has been another vital cog for Chelsea. He has scored some gorgeous goals this season, capitalizing on the slightest width or error, inside or outside the box. He has scored seven goals this season. He has even overcome an injury issue. With third place there for the taking, Chelsea is unlikely to experiment much.
Values
Mason Mount ($7,800)
Mount completes the holistic Chelsea offensive selection in this slate. Chelsea is undeniably the strongest team in this slate. Picking as many offensive players as possible almost guarantees that goals scored should also add to your fantasy tally. Mount has scored six goals along with four assists this EPL season.
Others to consider: Ismaila Sarr ($9,400)
Defenders
Studs
Cesar Azpilicueta ($5,900)
Azpilicueta isn’t just a solid defensive choice with Crystal Palace’s apparent offensive struggles. He is also a potential offensive contributor, with his sprightly runs down the right flank to swing deliveries into the six-yard box for Giroud. Crystal Palace has scored just 28 goals this season. I don’t see that count increasing.
Values
Craig Dawson ($4,100)
Dawson and the rest of Watford’s defensive core couldn’t do much to prevent Chelsea from scoring three goals in their previous game. However, this game has a different feel to it because there is relegation at stake. Watford, on paper, is slightly better than Norwich. I suspect there could be a clean sheet here.
Goalkeepers
Ben Foster ($5,600)
Both Watford and Norwich have combined to score just 54 goals this season, fewest and penultimate in the goal-scoring charts. There won’t be too many goals in this game. Foster has been a wall in front of goal for Watford against opponents that lack offensive depth. Norwich, with just 25 goals this season, certainly needs some fluency and luck to score.
Others to consider: Kepa Arrizabalaga ($5,800)
