Point Guard

Mike Conley, UTA vs. OKC ($5,400) — While not a true stud in terms of pricing, Conley looked great in his first game back and is deserving of a more expensive price tag. Against the Pelicans, Conley scored 31.25 DKFP and played 24 minutes. The playing time is extremely encouraging because it signifies he is healthy. Overall, Conley has disappointed during his first season with the Jazz although his struggles can mostly be chalked up to injuries. Multiple hamstring injuries have stunted Conley’s playing time and production throughout the season. When healthy, he’s played reasonably well. After the long layoff, it looks like we can expect Conley to produce at a high level.
Value
Monte Morris, DEN vs. MIA ($3,500) — The Nuggets’ backcourt comes into the restart banged up. Gary Harris (hip) and Will Barton (knee) have both been ruled out while Jamal Murray (hamstring) is questionable. Given how cautious the Nuggets appear to be handling injuries, it stands to reason that Morris could sit out tomorrow. With all these backcourt injuries, Morris should play a big role against the Heat. In a best-case scenario, he moves into the starting lineup. In eight starts this season, Morris is averaging 23.06 DKFP.

Shooting Guard
Stud
Jimmy Butler, MIA vs. DEN ($7,600) — Since the Nuggets’ backcourt is so banged up, this is a better matchup for Butler than it appears on paper. In what is typically a tough matchup against the Nuggets’ defense, this might even be a plus spot for Butler. The pricing algorithm assume this is a negative matchup for Butler, so his price is slightly lower than it should be. For the season, he averages 41.85 DKFP.
Value
Jordan Clarkson, UTA vs. OKC ($3,900) — Clarkson is likely going to garner massive ownership on this slate. After what he did in the Jazz’s first game of the restart, it’s hard to not eat the chalk. Without Bojan Bodanovic, Utah leaned on Clarkson to carry a heavy usage rating. He responded well and scored 37.25 DKFP in 32 minutes. Despite this strong game, Clarkson’s price tag dropped for his second game of the restart.
Small Forward
Stud
Paul George, LAC vs. NOR ($7,900) — With Lou Williams out in the Clippers’ Thursday game against the Lakers, George stepped up and came through with 47.25 DKFP. In a season where it took George a while to get going due to offseason shoulder surgery, it looks like the time off allowed him to get totally healthy. After looking good in scrimmages, PG13 carried over that play to his first game of the restart and made 64.7% of his field goal attempts. That type of efficiency isn’t sustainable but it’s a good indication that his shoulders are 100% healthy.

J.J. Redick, NO vs. LAC ($3,500) — I am usually not much for narrative although there is a storyline that makes me think Redick is a solid play. With the Pelicans fighting for a playoff spot, it stands to reason that this young team will lean on Redick as a vet to play increased minutes in the final stretch of the regular season. This was the case in the Pels’ first game of the restart. Redick played 26 minutes and scored 30.5 DKFP against the Jazz.
Power Forward
Stud
Anthony Davis, LAL vs. TOR ($10,400) — In all honesty, I don’t love any of the high-end power forward options on this slate. At least with Davis, his upside is massive. In the Lakers’ first game back against the Clippers, it seemed like getting Davis is the ball was an integral part of the game plan. He carried a 36.4% usage rating and scored 34 real-life points. AD is not a priority on this slate, but if you have the space to spend up for a PF, Davis has the potential to break any slate.

JaMychal Green, LAC vs. NOR ($3,500) — Without Montrezl Harrell (personal) last game, Los Angeles played Green way more minutes than normal. He played 29 minutes despite getting into some foul trouble and picking up five fouls. For the season, Green is averaging 17.58 DKFP in 21 minutes per game, so we should expect over 20 DKFP if he approaches 30 minutes again. Since Harrell is expected to sit another game, Green is in line for extended minutes today.
Center
Stud
Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. MIA ($9,000) — Due to all the injuries the Nuggets are dealing with, Jokic could see a massive usage rating today. This is particularly true if Jamal Murray (hamstring) ends up sitting. When Murray is off the court, Jokic has a 29.6% usage rating and scores 53.12 DKFP per 36 minutes. One other nice benefit of rostering Jokic after the break is that he’s actually in fantastic shape. Early in the season, he struggled and a lot of his issues appeared related to poor conditioning. I don’t expect this to be an issue since he looks like he lost some weight while away from basketball.
Value
Myles Turner, IND vs. PHI ($6,200) — Since Domantas Sabonis (foot) is injured, Turner is in line for a massive role going forward. When Sabonis is off the court, Turner’s production shoots through the roof. Without Sabonis, Turner has a 23.8% usage rating and scores 42.38 DKFP per 36 minutes. Until Sabonis is healthy, Turner figures to be a focal point in the Pacers’ offense.
