With the MLB regular season a week away, we don’t have to wait any longer for some professional baseball and — most importantly — baseball DFS. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) is underway and DraftKings is welcoming the KBO into the fold with contests for big prizes. On Sunday morning, the action gets underway at 4:00 a.m. ET.

What do we know about the league? Who should we be putting into lineups? Let’s figure out all this together, position-by-position.

PITCHER

Stud

Dan Straily, LOT at SAM, $9,400 - What would happen if an elite MLB pitcher went over to the KBO. After burning out in the states, Straily has traveled overseas and dominated the competition. He has a 2.07 ERA and is putting up 21.3 DKFP per game. Not many pitchers have been more consistent than Straily and he’s only allowed more than two earned runs twice all season.

Value

Jake Brigham, KIW at SK, $7,900 - This is the cheapest price Brigham has had all season. Even though his 4.30 ERA is disappointing, we have to keep in mind that he’s deal with an elbow injury this season and it forced him to miss a significant amount of time. Last game, he returned to action and pitched five innings of one-run ball against the Dinos. On Sunday, Brigham finds himself in a much easier matchup against the Wyverns. Assuming he’s healthy, his fantasy production should start to take off.

CATCHER

Stud

Eu Ji Yang, NCD vs. KTW, $5,500 - If you’re paying up for catcher, Yang kind of has to be the option on this slate. Since Dong Won Park is on the injured list, Yang is vastly outperforming the available expensive catching options. He averages 8.6 DKFP and the only other option priced over $4,000, Kang Nam Yoo ($4,700), only averages 6.2 DKFP.

Value

Min Sik Kim, KIA vs. DOO, $2,600 - Kim has continued to play well since taking over as the Tigers’ catcher. He has a hit in all of his starts and averages 7.8 DKFP. Since he has a 186 wRC+ and catcher has been such a difficult position for most teams to get production from, it is in the Tigers’ best interest to continue to play him. As long as Kim starts, he’s too cheap.

FIRST BASE

Stud

Keon Chang Seo, KIW at SK, $5,100 - Seo’s salary continues to rise and for good reason. He’s been getting on base a ton, leading to him stealing 16 bases this season, which is the best mark in the KBO. In his past five games, Seo has drawn five walks, bringing his OBP for the season to over .400.

Value

Jin Sung Kang, NCD vs. KTW, $3,900 - For a while, Kang was one of the chalkier value plays in KBO DFS. Then his price went up and he stopped hitting, so the masses stopped rostering him. Now that Kang’s price has gotten cheap, he’s starting to hit well again. He has eight hits in his past four games, so this might be the last opportunity to roster him under $4,000 for a while.

SECOND BASE

Stud

Jose Fernandez, DOO at KIA, $5,500 - Fernandez has seen a decent price drop and it isn’t warranted. Even though $5,500 is still a lofty salary, Fernandez was priced at $6,400 just a week ago. Considering he has four consecutive multi-hit games, his salary likely should have remained over $6,000. Fernandez has scored at least 8.0 DKFP in eight of his past 10 games.

Value

Hoon Jung, LOT at SAM, $3,700 - Jung remains underpriced. This has been the case for the past month or so. Jung’s on-base streak was finally snapped on Saturday, but this isn’t a reason to stop rostering him. He averages 9.4 DKFP, which is the second most of any player at second base, yet he’s only the 10th-most expensive player at the position. Prior to Saturday, Jung had scored at least 16 DKFP in three consecutive games. No cheap second baseman is producing like Jung is.

THIRD BASE

Stud

Jae Gyun Hwang, KTW at NCD, $5,600 - Due to a handful of injuries at third base, Hwang is the only active player at the position priced over $4,500. Even though this makes him the default stud option, Hwang is by no means a bad play. He’s reached base in 18 consecutive games and scored double-digit DKFP in four of his past six games.

Value

Kyoung Min Hur, DOO at KIA, $4,200 - Despite the relatively cheap price tag, Hur has produced as one of the top players at third base all season. This has been especially true lately. Hur has multiple hits in six of his past seven games and averages 9.0 DKFP overall.

SHORTSTOP

Stud

Ha Seong Kim, KIW at SK, $6,300 - After homering and scoring 26 DKFP on Saturday, it’s tough to look past Kim. Not only did he hit a long ball, but he also stole a base. Not many players in the KBO have Kim’s combination of power and speed. Not only does he have 10 stolen bases this season, he’s hit five homers in his past eight games.

Value

Ji Hwan Oh, LG vs. HAN, $3,600 - Oh is riding a six-game hitting streak and has had some massive fantasy scores during this stretch. He scored 30 DKFP on Friday and has three games with at least a dozen DKFP this week. The Eagles starter, Warwick Saupold ($7,100), has allowed 17 earned runs in his past three starts, setting up Oh with a good matchup to keep his recent run going.

OUTFIELD

Stud

Hyun Soo Kim, LG vs. HAN, $4,500 - There are quite a few Twins hitters that we can consider solid plays going up against Saupold. Kim has been punishing baseballs lately and, like Oh, I think Kim should be able to keep his strong recent play going on Sunday. Kim has scored at least 14 DKFP in eight of his past 14 games, bringing his DKFP average up to 9.9 per game.

Value

Hyung Jong Lee, LG vs. HAN, $3,400 - Until Lee’s price goes up, he has to be considered one of the stronger value plays on every slate. After missing the start of the season due to a hand injury, Lee made his debut last week and has shown no ill effects of the time off. He’s averaging 9.6 DKFP and has scored at least 20 DKFP in two of his past three games.
